Now that DFTW allows same sex commitment ceremonies, has anyone begun planning one?
Any information at all would be appreciated.
My partner and I would like to have one in about 3 years, so of course I'm already planning! :rotfl2:

Hey celerystalker!!!

Long time no see!!

I believe RickinNYC is going to be talking to DFTW soon, you might want to get in touch with him!

Definitely keep us posted on your plans!

Hi roadie - keep the riddle going for me!

I have so many questions! How receptive are the wedding coordinators to phone calls or emails before you can schedule a date?

Hi celerystalker--

My lovely DF and I are going to get "committed" at Disney World on June 22 of 2008. The woman who booked our time/date could not have been nicer. I'm not sure yet about some of the details (e.g. who will perform the ceremony?), but so far, everything is perfect.

Sunny - Definitely keep me updated on how things go. Are you going to do a planning journal (please!)?

It really kinda depends, celery...

Since you are three years out there probably isn't much they are going to be willing to tell you...so many things could (and probably will) change between now and then. Nearly every year they make some changes to the packages and the prices.

If you were maybe 18 months out, you might get more response. If you are planning a trip soon and want to sit down with someone, they will probably arrange something like that for you but it will depend on how busy they are.

Have you checked out the Disney wedding website? That will give you some of the basics. You might also check out the Mousesavers wedding site.

In the meantime, keep checking back here and reading the threads that interest you (the planning journals, the trip reports, etc.) to learn as much as you can. And have fun planning!!!

And stop in on the riddle when you get a chance!
