Coming up on 7 months

We are nearing our 7 month mark and am looking to change resorts. We have 8 nights in Dec @AKV 2 br. We stayed there last year and loved it, but would like to try other resorts. i would like to try VWL, but I know it is hard to get. Through your experiences, do you think I should 1) stay at AKV, 2) waitlist VWL or 3) Try BWV even if have to waitlist. we are 2Adults and 4 kids ages 4 - 14.

Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

We really like staying at BWV because of its' proximity to both Epcot & the Studios. I think it's worth it to try for a WL there. (I meant to get on a WL at the 7 month mark, but that's the day my Mom was transferred from the Hosp to Rehab - I was a bit distracted! I finally remembered to WL a couple of weeks later than I could.)

No harm in WListing. You can have 2 active at one time. So you could either WL two different views at BWV or one at BWV and one at VWL.

I'd waitlist for a dedicated 2 bedroom at the VWL and a 2 bedroom (PV -Pool/Garden) at the BWV. Then let fate (aka waitlist gods) decide where you stay - either at AKV, at VWL or BWV.

We have 6 kids and they love VWL in December. Very well decorated. We have not stayed at BWV. We own at BCV which is also hard to get in December. Dare I mention staying at both VWL and BWV depending on availability. We did that once on a longer trip, moving twice during the stay, and it requires a lot of cooperation and careful planning but can be done. Hope you get what you want!

Well just called MS and got waitlisted for VWL lockoff or dedicated. The CM said the only 2br left were at OKW & SSR, for our time. As I said previously,we love AKV, but would like to try elsewhere. Wish me luck and throw some pixie dust........

Sounds like we are going at the same time. It's craziness!

Sure do hope you get your WL, and that I can then get your 2 bedroom at AKV.

Because I absolutely do not mind OKW for myself, but we're treating family for the first 4 nights (hence the 2 bedroom), and they LIVE in Florida...not sure OKW is their dream vacation place! Oh, and part of the family is from upstate NY originally, so I'm not sure SSR is exotic to them, either.
