Let's see, next in this morning was a short update from Dana (gardengirl628) of a few of the breakfast offerings this morning at the Polynesian's CL Lounge...

She and Andrew had dinner last night at Epcot's...
First a menu pic...
Vicki said, "Loved the restaurant décor. It was a bit noisy though."
"We started with the antipasto platter..."
"This was very good. A nice variety."
"Andrew had the fettuccine and I tried something different - the tonnarelli."
Fettuccine Vecchia Roma with Prosciutto and Parmesan cream
& Tonnarelli - Handmade egg pasta, zucchini, mint, and Burrata
"Both were wonderful. Very rich though."
"For dessert we shared the cannoli..."
"This was a really good cannoli! The filling was not too sweet and full of chips. Another great meal!"

Next up is an update from Brenda, she and Emily did the Sunrise Safari this morning.
Sunrise Safari Breakfast
(available only to AKL CL Guests)
She said, "The safari is offered for CL guest at AKL. Breakfast is included, which was hosted in the Pizzafari building. But no worries, there was no pizza or breadsticks on the menu. It was a lovely buffet with their signature banana foster French toast. Think of a cross between Tonga Toast and Pooh's puffed French toast. Here are photos of the selections:"

Assorted Breakfast Pastries & Fruit
Made-to-order Omelet Station
Cheese Blintzes with Strawberry Topping (I think??)
Sign says Hash Brown Potatoes but these look more like roasted potatoes (or Home Fries)

Now let's begin today's lunch updates, starting with one from a new (but well-seasoned, as this is her 5th time I believe ) live reporter...
Becky (BlovesC) modeling her LeFou's Brew during a previous trip.
She said, "We're heeeere! The official resort of the live update update thread!" (aka Wilderness Lodge)
"Our view! Nothing makes me happier than being surrounded by REAL trees...not easy to find in Florida."
"Mystery area! Reminds me of the animal pens at AKL!"
"Nothing says DISNEY RESORT more than the tv...I alternate between Stacey and the Japanese station. Charlie hate both."
"Charlie is impressed, ten minutes in and I've already bought something. I love resort magnets!"
"I just love all the walkways around here!"
And now for their lunch, she and Charlie dined at their resort's...
Becky said, "We ate here once with my family years ago and I haaaated it. But everything gets a second chance eventually!"

"Our drinks...pomegranate lemonade for me and the first of Charlie's (bottomless) shakes...looks kind of light but it's chocolate!"
"I chose the smoked chicken quesadilla at our server's suggestion."
"The flavor was great but it was so well done it was near impossible to cut into, and I don't like eating quesadilla with my fingers. Still tasty but also, wow, HUGE. This was enough for two people and if my pooh-sized butt says that, I think Disney seriously needs to cut it back some!"
"Charlie chose the pork ribs (bleh!) and absolutely loved them."
'Again though, too much food. He left all of his fries, that is unheard of!"
"I missed a pic of his vanilla shake in the middle but yup, he took advantage of the bottomless shakes to try three flavors. He liked the vanilla the best. The strawberry one tasted just like strawberry Nesquick and he hated it...even though he loved strawberry Nesquick. Oookay?"
"For dessert, I got the chocolate hazelnut mocha cake a la mode..."
"It somehow didn't taste like chocolate or hazelnut or mocha. It wasn't bad, just slightly off somehow!"
"Our server was great. He was legitimately funny without being rude. Some of the servers around us seemed scary. Charlie and I decided WCC must be a dream for servers...if you come to work in a bad mood you don't have to hide it, you can just be rude to your customers and they'll say "haha! Our server is soooo in-character!"

She said, "On Saturday we did EMH at HS, opting for an early lunch over breakfast. We dined here..."

Here is what they had from the buffet...
"Salmon and bagel. The pastrami salmon was lovely."
"Frosted flakes"
"French toast, sausage, bacon, Mickey waffle and scrambled egg with chorizo."
"Mickey waffles with chocolate chips and syrup. I honestly thought DD had dropped these they disappeared so fast!!"
"French toast, bacon, syrup."
"Cinnamon roll"
"We drew on the table cloth - such talent !!!"
"And we had fun with the characters."
"Despite being a character buffet, we found this a calm and relaxing start to the day. It felt really uncrowded and the buffet wasn't the usual bun fight, despite being fully booked."
"I think I've skipped last night's dinner at Be Our Guest, so will send ASAP."

She and Andrew were at Magic Kingdom earlier today and had lunch at...
First a menu pic...
Vicki said, "We started with soup and the fried zucchini."
"But they brought our entrees before we even made a dent in the soup so it was removed from the bill."
"Spaghetti with sausage for Andrew and the Panini of the Day, which was flank steak and onions."
"This was a decent meal. It doesn't compare foodwise to Via Napoli or Tutto Italia but I really enjoy the theming. I think you just have to go in expecting a decent but not great meal. I will say that our server was great. We have had awful service in the past so that was a nice surprise."

She and Em were at Animal Kingdom (did the Sunrise Safari this morning) and had lunch at...
Brenda said, "We dined at Yak & Yeti for a light lunch. The safari breakfast stayed with us longer than I had hoped and we were not hungry by 1:30 for our ADR."
"Nonetheless, I started with a pina colada."
"We both ordered sides...which worked well. Em ordered fried rice and stir fried veggies with garlic and soy sauce."
"I had the side of pork egg rolls with chili plum sauce (or similar...I didn't take menu photos)."
"And don't think we skipped having the fried cream cheese won tons!!!"
"They never fail to please!"

An interesting and nostalgic note, with the arrival today of our next reporter, Ginamarie, we now have 4 of our 5 inaugural live reporters at Disney World. Our first five reporters were Brenda (emmysmommy), Vicki (GoofySon'sMom), Tracy (Tracer00), Becky (BlovesC), and Ginamarie. These five great ladies helped me to launch this live thread by sending me pics during their trips to Disney World last August and September. Without them, there would be no "Live from Disney World" thread, so thank you ladies...you're the best!
Ok, now on to Ginamarie's first update from their lunch at Animal Kingdom Lodge's...
