All snack updates will be worth 1 point per location.

Also, Bonus Points will again be awarded for the following:
- First Update of the Day - the first update which is sent (by text or email) after 7:30 a.m. (ET) each day will receive 1 point.
- All menu pics will receive 1 pt. per menu
- Including a pic of you in an update (update must also include at least one food/beverage item) - 1 pt./per update
- Including a pic of another member of your travel party in an update (again update must also include food/beverage item) 1 pt./per person/per update
- Including a pic of at least one character at any character meals - 1 pt. per meal (including the Beast at Be our Guest and Chef Remy at Chefs de France)

Send a pic of the restaurant's name on a sign, menu cover, etc. to use as an intro to your update from that location and you will receive a bonus point. (I think it's a fun way to introduce an update and saves me some typing. )

Also, send pics from any DISmeets (whether planned or not) and you will receive 5 Bonus Points for each meeting.

Barb asked us Aug peeps to post to let you know we're still planning on reporting and say a little something about ourselves so I reckon I'll pop out of my perpetual lurking and post.

You might possibly remember my family and I from our May trip. We had our three kids Rhiannon (14), Isadora (12) and Jack the Pirate (5) and it was a fantastic vacation. While we were there we booked a bouncback trip for just the husband (Thomas) and I to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We'll be there the last week in Aug. and it'll be the first time we've been away from the kids for more than a weekend ever. In fact it will be our first week away together since our honeymoon! I'm occasionally feeling guilty about not taking the kids (especially Jack) but mostly seriously looking forward to the time alone with my man.

Oh, I didn't mention... we've got a TPV room at the Poly!

Our plan is to have a very relaxed and lazy trip. We intend to spend lots of time at the pool (you really have to in Aug, right?!) and I'm so excited that I'll get to try the Lapu Lapu drink everyone posts pictures of! We have quite a few ADRs including one for our actual anniversary night at Shula's. Anyway, that's about it. Love this thread so much and I'm thrilled to have another chance to contribute.

Disney vacations are always special, but this trip is really special for me. A little background on me: I just graduated from law school in May, and I will be sitting for the bar exam next week! (Yikes!) I've spent the past two months doing (literally) nothing but studying, studying, studying! It's now at the point where I am having bar exam dreams almost every night, and I am beginning to see possible legal issues almost everywhere I go!

Needless to say...I NEED a break, am so READY for a break, and what better way to forget about the bar exam than with a trip to Disney!?

My family and I will be staying at Beach Club from August 4-10, and we've got some really exciting dining plans lined up! We'll do some old favorites - Yak and Yeti, Via Napoli, and Crystal Palace - but we're also trying some new places! My sister has also been bitten by the Disboards bug, and she'll be helping me rack up as many points as we can manage!!

Looking SO forward hitting the road for FL!

Another August reporter checking in! Our group consists me, my DH and our DD who will be turning 21 during our trip, look for some adult beverage photos! Our Ds had to drop out of this trip because he is currently taking classes for his masters in education and has prior requirements for the dates we'll be away,,,boo for school getting in the way of Disney World oh, well, we will try to suffer through without him
We will be staying at AKL club level( so excited, 1st visit staying club!) from 8/16-8/26. We have several ADR's planned, including Crystal Palace,
Sanaa, Boma, Ohana, la Hacienda de San Angel, Yak & Yeti, the Sunrise Safari( Pizzafari breakfast), and the Wanyama safari(Jiko dinner). We aren't sure how the August heat is going to affect our appetites, so we are planning to be flexible with other reservations, I'm expecting to indulge in several frozen beverages
Can't wait to send our first update!

Checking in for August! The GoofySon and I will be staying at Caribbean Beach from 8/11 thru 8/20. This will be our 5th and probably last Mom & Son only trip so definitely bittersweet for me. We are usually deluxe dining plan people but are giving TIW a try this trip. We are planning to share several appetizers in lieu of entrees at a few meals. Also will be trying several new restaurants along with some old favorites.

Woohoo! Just got my August reporting PM so I'm checking in here!

We'll be at Disney World from August 26-September 2. On this trip will be myself, my fiance and my mom. Initially it was supposed to be a mother/daughter trip celebrating my graduation from university and acceptance to graduate school (and my birthday is during the trip as well), but my fiance has never been so he's coming along too! I am so excited to share WDW with him for the first time.

We will be doing a split stay, 3 nights at the Beach Club and then 4 nights at the Grand Floridian. This trip has been in the works since I was a senior in high school so we have been saving, planning (and saving some more!) for years. I am so ready for this vacation, it has been a long summer of full time work and school and I will be beginning graduate school on September 3, the day after we return. I am really looking forward to relaxing at SAB with a Sunken Treasure and lobster roll!

We are also planning to hit Tutto Gusto, Boardwalk Bakery, Hurricane Hannah's, Flame Tree BBQ, and some other CS stops.

checking in for august reporting!!

our last tram ride from magic kingdom in july.



emme & i will be returning to disney from august 8-12th & we will be celebrating my birthday. this trip is even more special as i am also taking my cousin, auntie & mom with me on this mini vacation. this is my cousin's first trip EVER to disney....which is so very exciting!!


we will be staying at the lake buena vista resort & spa in a 2 bedroom condo. disney food has tough competition with my mom because she is ridiculous in the kitchen.

i have many adr's lined up but i'm still tweaking it. my goal is to try one new food item a day. i'm looking forward to this mini-vacation so much as i'm exhausted from working as a nurse FT, going to school FT & being a mom FT.
