Now for Brenda's update regarding her lunch with a touch of magic.



She said, "Breakfast plans hanged today due to a special meet up that took place by random coincidence. Long story short, we just ate breakfast in the lounge again so we could get a hard start to go to MK today for park opening."



"Breakfast looked the same as yesterday but different muffins and pastries. No iPhone pics so moving on..."



"We were invited to lunch by a former Cast Member that randomly saw we were at WDW. We ate at the..."

NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!! No Peter Pan's Flight this trip and now, no avocado margarita! So bummed! But thanks for the heads up!

Keep in mind that three of these poor service reviews posted here on the live thread were regarding the same meal, as DDW, emmysmommy, and GoofySon'sMom had dinner together.

True, but there have been other comments outside of this thread that indicate the same problem. We had breakfast there last year so maybe it's time to try a new place anyway. I'll think about it for a bit before I change anything.

Thanks again Barb for keeping this going! I had so much fun sharing my August updates, and I'm glad that some of the updates have been helpful to people.

It's also been fun catching up on the recent updates, such as Club 1901, Monsieur Paul, and the Dream Suite (they all sound amazing!).

I'm offering up 5 points each to the first person who sends us photos of the margarita menus from La Cava de Tequila and San Angel Inn (on the off chance that the two menus might be different).


We must confirm the following:

a) Brenda's server at La Hacienda gave her accurate information regarding the demise of our beloved avocado margarita (or in other words, make sure that he/she is not full of excrement)

b) If in fact there is a newly revised margarita menu at all of the Mexico locations, we must confirm that Linda's 2nd favorite margarita (cucumber) made the cut and is still present.

Hey everyone...this is Heather (seasidespences) and I'm checking in for live reporting for our upcoming September trip. We'll be staying at CSR from 9/15 thru 9/24....so excited!!! We are a fam of 4, 2 adults and 2 kiddos. We have the deluxe plan for this trip and we plan to stuff in (literally!) a lot of food. Our signature dining plans may change (depending on if we get a CG ADR or not) so I'll keep you posted if they do...but for now, our dining line-up includes:

News on the avocado margarita and cucumber margarita:

La Cava del Tequila has a very active twitter account so I just tweeted them and asked if they still had their avocado margarita and cucumber margarita because a server told us they got rid of them.

I will report back what they tweet back!

However 16 hours ago, they posted a tweet that says, " Do you love our #avocadomargarita?" I assume that means they still have it but I will let you know.

Also edited at 11:28 CST, just got a response that said "sorry for that misinformation, of course we have them!" So La Cava has both margaritas still but not sure about San Angel

If the Avocado Margarita is no more (a fact that still is causing me to weep on a regular basis) then the Cucumber Margarita is absolutely a very good plan b
The issue for me is that as lovely as the Strawberry, Mango etc. are they are a tad on the sweet side which for some is a plus but for others is a minus
Another option is the jalapeño or heaven forbid - the regular classic margarita
My experience is that the bar tenders at La Cava are awesome and will make a margarita to your taste - so just ask!
I type this sitting in a very British pub with not a margarita in sight ;-)

Thanks Rachel , and as further evidence to your findings along with some additional info regarding this matter, I present to you the following...

As I was sitting in church this morning, I received this text from our live reporter, Brenda, regarding her investigation into the case of the missing avocado margarita.





She said, "Glad I came by the tequila bar because...They no longer sell the avocado margarita in the restaurants (La Hacienda or SAI) but they DO sell them still at the tequila bar! Whew!"


And so, I am very happy to present to you Exhibit A (courtesy of Brenda), the current (as of today) Margarita menu at La Cava de Tequila...












And good news for Linda...her other favorite, the cucumber margarita, is still there too!










Brenda added a few more tidbits of information that she discovered for us through her investigative first-hand interviews.

"Helpful hint from the Manager of La Cava, order your avocado margarita and take it to go to the restaurant."


"Also I spoke with the hostess at San Angel Inn restaurant and you can order the avocado margarita there and the tequila bar will deliver it."



Upon reading Brenda's update (sorry I just couldn't help but look), I nearly blurted out "Praise the Lord"!!! But being Presbyterian, that probably would have been frowned upon , so I celebrated in silence for the remainder of the church service...but with a big goofy grin on my face."


Ok Linda...it's safe to come out of the dark room now and make your way to the Ditch, the Cave, or your personal Nirvana , as all is again right with the World (or the part of it within Epcot anyway ).
