Three of our live reporters (podsnel, Roma, & cyndiloveswalt) have sent in several really great updates today so bear with me while I get them all posted.

Still at Magic Kingdom, Roma & her DH had lunch at...


Liberty Tree Tavern

Colony Salad - Washington apples, sweet pecans and applewood smoked cheddar, dried cranberry Craisins, and grilled chicken tossed with field greens in honey shallot vinaigrette


Roma said, "I got the Colony salad and absolutely loved it! It was one of the freshest and most refreshing salads I've ever had." I don't normally like sweetish salads but this was perfect. Something about it just works!


Roma added, "We got a Be Our Guest ADR for tonight! Can't wait to send pics! ​

Then we received our first update from cyndiloveswalt.


Cyndi said, "We arrived at SSR. While waiting for our room, we headed to DTD for Earl's. The line was long, but moved fast.
It did not disappoint...one of our favorites."

Ellen said, "They immediately brought Sean some fries."

"Then he had the Child's Cheeseburger."

"I enjoyed the salad...it was gigantic!"

Fresh garden greens, grilled chicken breast, fresh strawberries, gorgonzola cheese, tossed in a white zinfandel vinaigrette dressing






"Tim had the chicken sandwich. He barely touched it. Nothing wrong with it, just a bad choice for him."

"Sean had milk and cookies. There were three, but he was too fast for me!"

"Pods and I shared the brownie sundae. We must have had the corner because a lot of the brownie was very hard."

Ellen said, "Ok, I was walking by Sleepy Hollow and there was no line so I stopped and got this..."

Sweet & Spicy Chicken Waffle Sandwich


Ellen said, "I was not at all hungry but I was dying to try it! It really is spicier than I would thought but also sweet.
The arugula really helps to cut the sweetness...know what I mean? I think it would be too sweet without it.
I also had a vanilla iced coffee."

Be Our Guest

Grilled Strip Steak with garlic-herb butter, pommes frites, and green beans


Roma said, "DH and I split the steak at BOG. It was cooked a perfect medium and we barely needed a fork to cut it. The butter on top was a great added flavor and we both thought the beans and fries were above average. Overall we are extremely impressed with the food here."

Appetizer Menu


Roma said, "I'll send the rest of the pics when we get back to our room. The lighting in BOG is not good and made pics difficult."




As promised, Roma sent the rest of the menu pics this morning...

And one more pic was also sent this morning...

Roma said, "DH announced at BoG that he wanted a beer, not even realizing this was the only place you could drink in the Magic Kingdom."

Candice said, "Lighting was low so the pictures came out a little dark. For the food, Eric and I loved it except for the cheese course. It was a mix of cow and sheep cheese. Not a fan but other people seemed to enjoy it. I especially liked the 1st course, it was very flavourful and fresh. We are not big drinkers so we didn't really know much about the wine. The couple across from us seemed to really love it though." ​

Candice said, "We had this for dinner on Wednesday. We were full so we just had just 2 small plates from the F & W booths and went in for dessert. Loved it! It actually tasted familiar but I can't put my finger on it."

Candice said, "We liked the food and service - food came out really quick. The highlight of the meal was dessert though.
Eric practically licked the plate clean!" ​

Ellen said, "I had to try the Peanut Butter Cake. I loved it...it was divine! But I was still full for my 8 p.m. ADR at Tony's."


Note from jabead: I'd remembered reading about this dessert on the Disney Food Blog a few months ago, so I was very excited when it was included in a live update.

Ellen said, "I didn't want the recommended wine which was paired with them because it was a Muscat...too sweet for me."

Ellen said, "There wasn't a drop left in the bowl when he was done."





Pods had this...

Seared Scallops with Butternut Squash, Red Pepper Jam, Pickled Mushrooms, and Rice Vinegar Gastrique


Ellen said, "This was fantastic!"





For their entrees, Sean had...

Ellen said, "They mixed up our filets. I got Ty's medium and he got my medium rare.
No big deal, but we realized half way through."



Ellen's filet was paired with this wine...

Ellen said, "Wow, was it good!"

"Our server gave very generous pours."





They also ordered this side dish...

Ellen said, "We all loved dinner. Too full for dessert though, sorry."



Then Ellen said, "I took two more pics but we didn't have these."

She said, "And because we had not had enough wine at dinner, we stopped in France."

Next in this morning was an update from Cyndi (cyndiloveswalt).


She and her family ran in the Mickey's Jingle Jungle 5K at Animal Kingdom this morning.

Cyndi said, "Breakfast consisted of a very nice snack pack they handed out to runners. It included multi-grain crackers and cheese spread, almond roca, a protein bar, and a fruit & nut mixture."

Cyndi and her DH (Ron), DS14 (Lee), and DS8 (Sal)


So that's 3 points for including pics of Ron, Lee, and herself (Sal we saw in yesterday's update from EOS )

1 point for Holiday related for Mickey & Minnie in their cute Holiday attire
