sanapp said, "For my appetizer I had the onion soup. This was good except that the onions weren't cooked enough.
DD had the puff pastry which she didn't care for."

sanapp said, "DD then had pasta and I had the croque monsieur which I really enjoyed."

Jillian said, "We were supposed to go to Raglan Road, but with an overtired 5 year old and having been there and back for lunch, we cancelled and booked Boatwrights at POR. What a hidden gem."

Served with potatoes (subbed for Mac and cheese), crawfish beignet, seasonal Vegetables, and red wine demi-glace


Jillian said, "Nate (her DH) got Steak Medallions and subbed potatoes for the Mac and Cheese because it has truffle oil in it and he has an allergy. He raved about it."

Mixed Greens, Grape Tomatoes, Cucumbers, Red Onions, Carrots, and Citrus Vinaigrette


Jillian said, "I had the Salmon Salad and it was delish. The salmon was blackened just right and the citrus vinaigrette was a great compliment, and the greens were really fresh."

"Eli had the kids Mac and cheese and a ton of apples (no pic). He enjoyed his meal."

Jillian said, "I had the Butterscotch Creme Brûlée and it was perfect, not too overwhelming of a butterscotch flavor."

Jillian said, "Nate had the bread pudding and said the Rum Raisin ice cream was awesome! Eli had a build your own sundae and they also brought fruit out with a candle and sang a zip a dee Doo da birthday song... The whole meal was perfect!!"

Jess said, "The Cornish Hen was unevenly seasoned, but overall, it was good. The macaroni was delicious!"

AlohaPolynesian said, "I had the Southwestern Salad without chicken and it was great! My mom got the chili cheese dog with fries and said the chili was tasty but overall was average."



"I'll also send a photo of the nachos I am currently eating as I wait for Fantasmic to start. They're not very good. Blah!!! Gross "cheese"!! Chips were from a Tostitos bag that I had to empty into the tray myself. So those were okay since they were fresh from the bag. Luckily we have Via Napoli at 9:15!"

Good Morning Everyone and Happy December 1st!


Being that it is the 1st day of December, that means it's time for...



HOLIDAY ROULETTE



Our first bet on the Roulette wheel has been placed by AlohaPolynesian. She actually emailed this update to me late last night, but because it was after my deadline for posting (11:00 p.m. Eastern) it is now considered an update for today and eligible for the Holiday Roulette game.


Now on to AlohaPolynesian's update.


She and her mom were at Epcot last night and had dinner at...


Via Napoli

Aloha Polynesian said, "We had a 9:15 pm ADR at Via Napoli. We were seated quickly and our waiter, Emanuele, came by right away to take our drink order. My mom and I each had a glass of some Cabernet Sauvignon, which was DELICIOUS! Trying to find the wine list to see which one it was so I can buy some at home."

"Emanuele told us his favorite pizzas, and said we could do half and half instead of getting two individual pizzas.
We went with that option and got half Carciofi and half Ortolano."

1/2 - Carciofi - white pizza with artichoke, fontina, mozzarella, and truffle oil
1/2 - Ortolano with tomato sauce, mozzarella, and vegetables



AlohaPolynesian said, "Both were amazing! My mom and I both agree that the Carciofi was a 9/10 and the Ortolano was an 8/10."

"We couldn't decide on a dessert so we told Emanuele we would share one and asked him to surprise us. He brought us the tiramisu which we devoured instantly so I FORGOT TO TAKE A PICTURE!!! Fail."

"This was delicious though - and I am not usually a tiramisu fan. With the check, he brought a dessert not on the menu he said he had made just for us for free in case we didn't like the tiramisu! My mom reminded me to take a picture
It was a little cookie with some real whipped cream and raspberry and chocolate drizzle. YUM!"

AlohaPolynesian said, "I also told Emanuele that my mom was half Italian and he asked where her family was from and then he told her the people from there "are so friendly and fun". He was the most adorable human ever. Great server, always smiling, stopped to make conversation and seemed so happy to be there!

Via Napoli is definitely a new favorite. Great for a first night dinner!

Note from jabead: I was not aware that Via Napoli would allow you to split a pizza this way with two different varieties, especially with 1/2 white and the other 1/2 red sauce. Very interesting! I am therefore awarding AlohaPolynesian a Miscellaneous Bonus point for this discovery. Also since she has dual membership on both the November and December teams, she will receive one point for each of the corresponding games.

She said, "Just grabbed a quick breakfast at Tamu Tamu in Africa.

My mom wanted the egg and cheese flatbread but they were out, so we both got french toast sticks. I enjoyed them because they remind me of Burger King French toast sticks which I never eat anymore!!

My mom didn't care for them but we were hungry so we ate them to tide us over til Kona lunch."
