Next we have an update from MickQuinn. She had lunch today at Epcot's...

"Part of the cold side... Lettuce, bean salad, cucumber salad and cabbage salad."
"The rest of the cold side... Sausage and cold meats platter, macaroni salad, beet salad and potato salad. I tried all but the cold meats and they were pretty good. Macaroni salad could have used more flavor, but at least it had a good texture...not loads of mayo."
"Brussels sprouts and warm beets."
"We enjoyed our lunch here. The schnitzel was pork rather than chicken as we've had in the past. My son loved the green beans, they had onions and were salty from the addition of bacon. The pretzel rolls and beer cheese soup are a great combination!"

Our First Update of the Day was sent to us this morning by MickQuinn.
She said, "We are not accustomed to the heat so we haven't eaten as much. After a dip in the pool we grabbed some kids meals @ Mara. Quinn and Pepere both had a hamburger and ate it in the room. DH and I went down to Victoria Falls for a late night snack. I had a yummy Agave nectar margarita and DH had the Tusker Lager. We shared an order of crispy breads and dips. We both enjoyed this a lot. DH's favorite was the olive hummus while I preferred the sundried tomato."

Shortly after, we received emmebear's update from yesterday afternoon at the Grand Floridian resort's...
"We waited 40 minutes past our ADR to be seated! We were early for our ADR too. We were all hungry but when we were seated we were at seated at a large table with a gorgeous view! So in that aspect, it was worth the wait."
"Rachel and I both chose the Grand Tea."
The Grand Tea - The classic English tradition of Afternoon Tea, Grand Floridian style. We offer you a variety of tea sandwiches, scones and jam tarts, followed by your choice of our freshly baked tea pastries or English trifle, accompanied by a glass of Domaine Ste.-Michelle sparkling wine and your choice of tea. $32.00 per guest.
"Rachel and I did notice that it was freezing inside. Maybe they did this so we could enjoy our tea."
"I chose the certified organic pear green tea. It was delicious. I love green tea and it had a slight pear after taste. It was lovely. The tea was a seasonal brew. I loved the tea I chose. Rachel had the Mad Hatter's brew."

"I took your advice and did not get the salmon and subbed with the pear & Gorgonzola, which was my favorite sandwich.

"The scone was very good. I originally chose the strawberry preserve but then switched to the lemon after tasting Rachel's.

Rachel said, "It was really nice being able to sit before the fireworks but I did not eat my cost in dessert. The desserts are sub par/gross with the exception of tiramisu, cannoli, chocolate covered strawberries, and pistachio creme brulee. They have a good drink selection too."
Then later they had a late night snack back at the food court back at their resort.

emmebear said, "It was pretty good minus a few pieces of suspect chicken. We added broccoli, peas, onions, chicken, Alfredo sauce with spaghetti. Emme liked the pasta. It was a large portion. Much better than AoA. However, this resort does not accept TIW."

"Quinn started with a chocolate shake... Nice and creamy!"
"Three of us went with the Angus chuck burger. Nice flavor and cooked according to our request. I had the cucumber salad with mine and it was a nice light change from fries."
"Pepere has a very light appetite and they allowed him to order from the kids' menu. He chose popcorn chicken and fries. The chicken was crispy but didn't contain much actual meat. He seemed to like them just fine though."
"Pepere chose fruit as his side for the kids meal. Your standard Disney fruit cup."
"After lunch we enjoyed some cold treats from the carts. Quinn had an Itzakadoozie (no longer the twirly shape I remember) and I had a Mickey Bar (as good as always)!"

"We had an amazing view!"
"We ordered the bread service with Cucumber Raita, Tamarind Chutney, and Coriander. The coriander was my favorite along with the raita. Tamarind was delicious but thicker than I am accustomed to."
"We got the onion kulcha, naan and spiced naan. All three were warm and delicious. I wished we got the bread with our meal so I could have dipped the bread in my sauce."
emmebear said, "I got the Vegetarian option with tikka paneer and spicy chickpeas along with the basmati rice. The rice was dry and slightly undercooked. I wish the rice was fluffier. The chickpeas were nice and spicy. The tikka sauce was very mild. I wish they gave me more paneer (cheese)."
"Stoli vodka and soda with a splash of cranberry. Rachel's diet coke in the back."
emmebear said, "It was a nice meal at Sanaa. My first experience was better. The food was comparable to the Indian food back in Jacksonville. Sanaa is a beautiful place and our view was awesome. We valeted using TIW."

She said, "I ordered the Mango Malawi margarita. It was good but once again sweet and not too boozey. I thought it would be more unique."
"I ordered the spicy Durban chicken and shrimp with green chili sauce. I loved the Durban chicken but not the shrimp. It was a very sweet and thick sauce. I thought it would be spicy but it really wasn't."
"For dessert I ordered the trio with just the kulfi stuff and chai cream. I didn't care for the kulfi thing. It was just like mango ice cream. The chai cream had great flavor but I wish it was thicker."

Yellowfin Tuna Tartare and Crispy Tempura Tuna-Vegetable Sushi Roll with Hijiki and Wakame Seaweed, Yuzu Tobiko, and Wasabi Foam with a Sweet-and-Spicy Sauce
"Tuna tartare app was delicious! It was a huge portion and very fresh. The tuna roll was actually fried which added some texture to the roll. I really enjoyed it very much. It was expensive but well worth it. It was a beautiful plate of food."

Oak-grilled Maine Diver Scallops with English Peas, Pecorino, Basil, and Mascarpone-laced Risotto di Carnarolli, with Prosciutto di Parma Cracklins'
"The scallops were absolutely heavenly. It was a very generous portion. The peas brought a nice sweetness to the risotto. The plate itself was very pretty and the dish was plated beautifully. It was almost too pretty to eat. One small gripe: I wish the scallops were seared a little more. I love a nicely crusted scallop. The scallops however were cooked perfectly."
Emme's entree choice was made from this Kids menu...
Bowl of Mickey Pasta with Creamy Cheddar Sauce
"This was the best Mac & Cheese (Kids version) that I have tasted. She also used her chopsticks!"
"Our server Rebecca was the best yet. She was fantastic. Flying Fish was the best meal I've had at Disney. It lived up to the hype and our meal was wonderful. Two thumbs up!"

"Quinn started with Tropical Tango Splash. Pineapple and orange juice in a light up cup. Our server was good and even gave refills on this drink."
"I tried the pomegranate margarita... Fairly strong, but smooth. The only downside was the lack of salt on the rim."
Crazy Corn - Fire roasted Corn on the cob, covered in a savory-spicy yellow pepper sauce and smothered in imported cheeses.
"The boys started devouring this before I could get a picture. I expected the cheese to be crumbles or something like that, but this was definitely stretchy and stringy. The corn had a great flavor from the butter and pepper sauce."
"Pepere {Grandpa} ordered the Paradiso burger. DH tried some too and said it was really good. The bun had seasoning and was tasty too. These were some of the best fries ever. They were crisp, tasty and not greasy at all."
"Quinn had the Kid's meal taco with chicken. This came with rice and black beans and was a large portion for a child. Quinn loved the taco but didn't want to try the beans."

"DH and I shared the From the Land platter. This was delicious. The steak was flavorful and the flauta was crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside. We really liked the cilantro flavored rice. The chorizo wasn't as firm or spicy as what we've had in other places."
"For dessert we chose the churro and soapapilla combo. Yummy dipped in the caramel sauce! Paradiso 37 was a new restaurant for us, but one we would definitely return to again."

"Quinn started with Tropical Tango Splash. Pineapple and orange juice in a light up cup. Our server was good and even gave refills on this drink."
"I tried the pomegranate margarita... Fairly strong, but smooth. The only downside was the lack of salt on the rim."
Crazy Corn - Fire roasted Corn on the cob, covered in a savory-spicy yellow pepper sauce and smothered in imported cheeses.
"The boys started devouring this before I could get a picture. I expected the cheese to be crumbles or something like that, but this was definitely stretchy and stringy. The corn had a great flavor from the butter and pepper sauce."

Several more updates came in from the reporting team of emmebear & rachel09985 today. The first one was from their evening at Magic Kingdom.
Last night after their dinner at Flying Fish, they took a bus to Magic Kingdom for EMH...
Rachel got a LeFou's Brew from Gaston's Tavern...
"She didn't like it, said it was sweeter than last time she had it."
Rachel also bought Emme an Ariel play set...
...which Ariel was enthralled by because it included a detachable extra head.
And I said that I too sometimes wish that I had an extra detachable head, until I received this picture from emmebear...
