Would it be quicker/better to hopp off the Florida TPK onto Hwy 27,to Hwy 192, to I-4 into Disney. Or is it better to stay on the TPK through Orlando to I-4? Thanks

Hop on the turnpike south. Miss the Route 27 exit. Then look for the Route 429 exit and take it south. You are on a new high speed road, a little over 10 miles later you will see the Disney/Hartzog exit that will take you right into Disney landing near Blizzard Beach.

Florida Turnpike, pass up 27 and watch for 429 (Western Way). Take it towards "Tampa". This is a brand new toll road, it will cost you $1 to get to Exit 8, which is the exit for WDW. It's great - I estimate it saved us at least 20 minutes over the 27/192 way.

P.S. It's still not on any maps,so don't be confused.

All new maps have TOLL 429 (Western Beltway) on it; all the on-line maps have it too (Rand McNally/Mapquest).

The final few miles from US192 south to I-4 (connecting west of Disney) are still scheduled to open in December.

As mentioned, it does cost $1.00 to use the 429 from the Turnpike in Winter Garden south to the WDW exit. However, the cost to a user versus taking US27/US192 is actually $2.25 more since the exit to US27 is $1.25 cheaper than staying on the Turnpike. But it's certainly faster....and no traffic lights.

I-75 S

Get off at exit 328 (approximately 140 miles from Georgia/Florida State Line, approximately 107 miles from I-10)

Travel on Florida Turnpike to Exit 267A (429S) (approximately 42 miles)

Travel on 429S to Exit 8 (Disney World/Hartzog Rd) (approximately 14 miles)

This road will take you to West Buena Vista Dr near Coronado Springs.

Turn right if going to All-Stars or Animal Kingdom Lodge, turn left if going anywhere else, then follow the Disney signs to your destination.

Tolls on the main Turnpike will be $2.50 for a standard vehicle. (More if pulling a trailer).

Tolls on 429S to Disney World will be just $1.00 as the Disney World Exit doesn't appear to charge a toll.

(I based the mileage on the exit numbers as they coincide with mile markers).
