Coming from the Great White North in August WE'RE BACK.2nd DAY PTs1&2POSTED PAGE 23

I am here and it looks like not a moment too soon! Unfortunately I have a lot to say but it must wait because I am going out with my dear husband for our anniversary tonight..year #14!I'll try and catch up soon. Queen you are in so much trouble for several offenses.:rolleyes1

Queen, that was very sweet of you to go ahead and get the slushie and not just be taking up a table. I'm sure Mickey appreciated the contribution.

Oh, goodie... Peg's here. Now we'll get to see the sisters "discuss" what they disagree on, huh? I'm sooooo ready. popcorn::popcorn::

Bring on the discussion!!!

I almost booked Tutto Italia for our next trip. I was going to but I had just finished your raglan road update and it swayed me that way instead.

Again, I love how the girls get dressed up in a dress for dinner. How cute is MM's ladybug dress?

Oh, so you pop on for 2 minutes....I'll worry when you're actually around for a while:lmao: I stand by everyhting I've said:rolleyes1 I think most people have forgotten you...or are having flashbacks to last years TR that took 10 months to complete:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

Ahhh, Raglan Road, one of my favorites!!

I think Peg got that dress at Kohl's or Burlington Coat Factory.....but hang on cause apparently she's going to be posting....hope we don't produce cobwebs while we're waiting.;)

FRIDAY, AUGUST 15, 2009

This brings us to our last morning at SSR. Now we were getting excited about seeing our new digs...no parks today, only moving resorts and enjoying our new pool. We had heard so many good things, I honestly couldn't wait to see it!!

We got up and had breakfast and waited for Bell Services to come and collect our luggage. I was a little afraid something would go wrong, but it went like clockwork.
337.jpg

We changed Jasmine's name to Cindersmella...we loved how happy she was to help clean up after breakfast...for Peg and I, it was sport to watch the sheer pleasure on her face as she did our morning dishes.

After she was through with the breakfast dishes, she decided to go outside with the camera and capture some last minute pictures from SSR.

Just so you know, I've told my Dh that we are going to Raglan road on your recommendation. He's skeptical about it. So I'm going to blame it all on you and Peg (when she shows up-notice I said when because I have faith in her!).

337.jpg

I've been noticing that exact look on my tween's more and more. Sigh.

I spy something with my little eye that is canadian! It's the Timmie's can!

341.jpg

What is that? Do you think it was a pool they filled in?

Our bags had been collected and we headed down to the bus stop. We took the bus to DTD then transferred to an AKL bus.

What they don't send you out a DVC limo?

You're really close to the other downtown non disney hotels. I didn't realize that.

This is bad, I can't believe I have been away so long, this work thing is getting in the way of my Dissing!! Well this post brings us to Friday August 15...moving day....to AKL. We were all pretty excited to check out our new digs, so we were up and at it pretty early.

We had breakfast and finished up our last minute things before Bell Services arrived at 1030am. They were on time and we were off to DTD to catch a bus to AKL.

I think by the looks of the picture, Peg might have been drinking already.....
372-1.jpg

Our rooms weren't ready yet as it was quite early, so we had brought our bathing suits and towels and were more than willing to spend a nice relaxing afternoon at the pool. I quickly realized that I was going to love sitting by this pool as a lovely young lady came and asked us if we wanted anything from the bar....really....I don't have to get up and get it....BONUS. I gave Jasmine the money for our drinks and didn't realize how bad this looked until we were going through the pictures.....take the money out of your bottoms dear, you look like a "dancer"

Geodoc received a text saying that our rooms were now ready so we packed up and headed in anticipation of seeing our new "home". This would be where Jas and I would be sleeping...she wasn't thrilled about sleeping on a pullout for 6 nights, but she said she would deal with it because she loved the view

I will continue this day a little later on...I best get some housework done.

I was reliving my last vacation looking at your AKL pictures. I never saw anyone bringing drinks directly to you. However, I think you are in the same alcove I liked that was near the bar.

"this work thing is getting in the way of my Dissing!! "

You're still posting more than Peg. That should be worth something. Heck... for the bragging rights alone it should be worth SOMEthing.

The pics of AKL look great! But you GOTTA tell Jas she can't lay out at the pool in a bikini with money stuck in her suit. Um, let's just say it doesn't look "right". <evil grin>

And what's even better... I wrote that and was concerned that maybe I'd offend you and then I keep reading and see that you had the exact same thought. Man, I just can't WAIT to meet y'all next time you're down. We do seem to think quite alike!

"she wasn't thrilled about sleeping on a pullout for 6 nights, but she said she would deal with it because she loved the view"

Well, let's see... when she's the mom and paying for it she can have the bed. For now, she's still a kid and she can deal, huh? LOL

It really was a beautiful thing....when Geodoc was sitting there while we were in the pool, no one came and brought him a drink either:lmao:

See that's why your my friend.....

Lol too funny....remember, I have a sick sick mind, you could never offend me. Honestly, when I saw the pictures, I almost died.....nice mother, doesn't even notice her daughter looks like a welll you know.....

So I'll have the bed for quite some time:lmao:

I understand the work getting in the way thing. We are very slow on keeping our report up to date.

The dancer comment made me spit out my coffee. :lmao:

I know...it seems by the time I get home at night and get dinner ready, dishes done, laundry in or whatever else needs done, I don't even think about getting on the computer.

Hope that coffee didn't hit the computer screen......:lmao:

very nice!!! we lovedddd staying there too! Kidani was very nice as well but I 100% agree with you about the Counter Service and needing one close by! I was shocked they did not put in a CS at Kidani. I have a feeling they might have to add one in the future!!

We loved the pool too, but we did not have servers ask us for drinks last Dec..maybe because it was 70 the day we went to the pool and mostly hid in the hot tubs hhahaha.

Can't wait for more!

Sleeper sofa...Jasmine said it was actually quite comfy

Once again, I was blown away by the attention to detail...we loved these chairs on our balcony
414.jpg

Jasmine thought this sign was cute...it was on our balcony door
415.jpg

Jasmine loved our balcony...everyday after we would come up from being in the pool, I would like to lie down and watch a little tv or have a nap...not her, she was sitting on the balcony until it was time to shower and get ready for our evenings out.
418.jpg

This particular afternoon was nothing but rest and relaxation until our luggage got there of course. So once that was all put away and organized it was time to get ready and head down to Boma for dinner. There was something quite magical about not having to go and wait for the bus to take us to dinner, we quite enjoyed just taking the elevator down to the restaurant....it didn't hurt that this is one of our favorites in all the World
419.jpg

Geodoc, Peg, MM, SW, Jas just enjoying the moment before we were called to dinner
421.jpg

A very nice lady offered to take a picture of all us which was very nice

Geodoc, Peg and SW checking out the drink menus...well Geodoc and Peg at least...we do try and be responsible parents every now and then
426.jpg

Queen, Jasmine and Mini Montana...we were waiting for our fancy drinks too. The funniest thing was that we had the same waiter as last year (he was the best waiter) and he remembered us. I think he recognized Geodoc and said, Hey, didn't I wait on you guys last year? I believe his name was Gilbert and he is hands down, one of the best waiters we have ever had...
427.jpg

Jasmine's food...as you can see she in not the adventurous type when it comes to her palate.
428.jpg

My plate of food
429.jpg

desserts....zebra domes....need I say more?? They had this amazing amazing pineapple cheesecake thingy that was to die for too.
432.jpg

Once we were all fed we headed back up to the room and Jasmine grabbed the camera and was out on the balcony again...here is a gorgeous shot of the pool at night.

We headed off to bed to rest up for another big day at Magic Kingdom!!

I've only eaten at Boma for breakfast before. But I suspect if I had dinner there my plate would look a lot like Mini Montanas. I'm not very adventerous either.

It is great not having to travel to a meal isn't it?

Jasmine looks very relaxed on the balcony. Kind of wish I were there now.

Hi Queen! :wave2: Your room looks so nice. I think it would be fantastic to take the elevator to dinner and not have to take a bus. I hope this next trip we get to experience that also. Your group picture turned out really great. Everyone looks so nice and soooo happy. :goodvibes
