After having a discussion about things with a good friend here on the DIS ....
and after struggling with mixed emotions about this place....
I'm here to tell you that it's me.

A combination of events in my real life and how I felt things were going here on the DIS caused me to first turn away from this place for a while and then to come back and hope for a fresh start here.
So I concocted this fellow, circus slim. Really no different a process than when I concocted oldkicker, all those years ago.
I recognize that I might have caused a bit of concern with all of this hanky panky and I apologize for that. I can only say that I did what I thought I needed to do. I hold no personal rancor against anyone and didn't mean to hurt anyone.
Underneath this screen name and that one too there is a real, live, breathing, sometimes happy, sometimes not, sometimes pissy, sometimes not, struggling, determined, emotional, mixed up sack of bones that I am.
A special word to all the riddlers. I see that the riddle is in very good hands these days with Laura and Stephanie handling things. Enjoy and keep being kind to each other.
I am going to try to keep things in perspective here. These boards are a vast place. Literally THOUSANDS of people logging on each day, who knows how may stopping by without logging on. That's a lot of other mixed up sacks of bones, isn't it?
There is not one of us here any better or more important than any other one. It doesn't matter that they don't share our faith, our beliefs, our outlooks, our backgrounds, our interests or whether or not they are moderators, webmasters or riddlemeisters. At the end of the day we're all sharing what we wish to share here and participating in the way that makes sense for us. Whatever form that takes for each of you, enjoy yourself!
While I have your attention (here's one of the pretentious parts) I'd like to ask you a favor. There are a lot of groups here on the CB and throughout the boards. I think it's great that people have found like-minded folks and enjoy spending time with them. You should also break out every now and then and see what the rest of this place is doing. It's ENORMOUS!!! Challenge your comfort zone, have a discussion with someone you don't agree with. Don't make any assumptions about anybody. Respect EVERYBODY. And don't do this just on special days, it's worth the effort every day.
Here's the second pretentious part - I'm assuming that everybody reading this will have some idea of what the heck I'm talking about!!! If you don't, just ignore this - I'm really not this strange and introverted in real life. Honest!!!
Then again, you could just ignore all of this.
