Coming and going?

If you have a magic base ticket, without the park hopping option, can you leave the park, go to your hotel and rest, then come back later that day to the same park with it counting just as one days use?

Any answer would be appreciated?

Yes you can come and go from that one park as many times as you want in a day with no problem.
