I have a heel spur on my left foot. Walking and standing for hours of course aggravates it. I would like to try a pair of Teva's but don't know which ones. Any one have any suggestions as to what sandals might work for me?

When I had planar facitis I wore Teva's with a foot wrap. Perhaps a better sandal would be a Birkenstock as they have more support. Also, remember to stretch your calves to help your planar facia stay stretched and ice your feet when you get back to your room!

I have plantar facitis and I recently bought a pair of Keens. They have been very comfortable and I wear them to work practically everyday. (I'm on my feet most of the day) I have also worn them out when at the park etc. and they have been pretty comfortable.

I was just diagnosed with heel spurs on Monday.
The doctor told me plantar facisitis (sp?) and heel spurs were two different things, I asked because my wife had plantar facisitis.
He told me that the only thing for me to wear is Rockport walking shoes and Rockport sneakers and to purchase orthotics to insert into them for support.

He is on his feet all day and he says that they are very painful! The only shoes/sandals that he can walk in without pain are birkenstocks. He would wear them to work if he could! He wore them all day, everyday the last time we were in DW and he never complained. HTH...

Running shoes are best for walking in parks. I purchased ankle socks so I wouldn't end of with a funny tan line. We used sandals as evening wear, Downtown Disney wear and out to dinner wear but when doing a large amount of walking in the parks we found that the runners gave the best support!
