Comfortable pants for the parks?

Ok, I'm going to be honest here. I usually wear yoga pants.

I have "good" yoga pants that I wear in public most of the time and ratty ones I wear at home. During the summer I wear yoga shorts.

I do have one pair of extra stretchy jeans that I wear when forced, like attending IEP meetings or dinners out that don't involve cutting up someone else's food.

I'm a lightly fluffy girl, size 18ish.

So, I'm looking for comfortable (with stretch!) pants for wearing in the parks. Ideas?

Jeggings?
Not sure if you can find Wallflower brand jeans but I love them, very comfortable and well fit with stretch but they look like any other jeans.
Otherwise how do you feel about picking up some nice sundresses and skirts? I am most comfortable in dresses myself.

Actually, I now see your kids ages, I will warn that Wallflower do have some 'bling' on the back pockets. I know some people find them young looking, not sure if you are opposed to that but I figured I would warn you. I usually buy them at Shopko but I think Kohls and Gordmans carry them as well

I have some great pants that are lightweight, tough to wrinkle and dry quickly from Lucy. Sadly looks like they discontinued them. But I'd advise checking REI or travelsmith.com for some options. Pricey but my Lucy pants are a good 6 years old and look brand new. So sometimes a pair of pants like that is a worthwhile investment.

Levis "Signature" jeggings. I got mine at Walmart for under $20. They look like jeans but are super stretchy and not heavy like regular denim. They dry quickly. And, they carry sizes 2-20 at our local store. Second best choice would be Faded Glory brand. They cost even less (usually on sale for around $9), but I can't say they hold up as well to washing and use.

I only wear capri pants. Target has a nice line that are polyester that dry quick with elastic waist. I have a grey pair, but would love a black pair. I am no longer a short wearer. Sams also carries a nice line I think called tea tree and they have some nice lightweight stuff.

Are yoga capris a no-no at the parks? I have a few from athleta and they are comfy. Was thinking about wearing them with a t-shirt.

I have some Lands End, black stretch pants, much like the yoga pants that I wear every day, every trip. I have a ton of them and will replenish as needed. We always go cool to cold, so they are perfect. I think they make a carpi style too. I choose all shirts for the trip that will go with black, mostly Disney T-shirts and we are set to go. They are EASY to pack, take up little room and do not wrinkle. I take one nicer set for Signature places and we will go back to the room to change between parks and dinner. I might take two nicer shirts, but will wear the nicer pants more than one night to dinner. I recently bought each of us the largest allowed carry on bags and am hoping to do a week trip with only carry on! These pants might make it happen.

Heck no. I wore them all trip!

My yoga pants are my BFF. :thumbsup2

Do yo happen to remember which ones?

I used to buy the Coldwater Creek Travelers pants but then they went out of business and I tore a hole in my last pair. I may have cried. No, actually I did cry.

I'm pretty sure it is the activewear line. They have different styles. LLBeam used to carry a similar style too but not sure they still do. I can often get them at a warehouse sale near my home, but they are really worth the cost.

Can you possible fix these pants? I love to repurpose/up-cycle cloths, I go to Pinterest for ideas. :teacher:

I have some very unique items.:cool2:

Me too!.....Them and my yoga pants. I say go for the yogas and be comfortable!
If you want a more comfortable jean I recommend Gloria Vanderbilt Amanda style jeans which I buy at Kohl's. The material is very soft and has a good amount of stretch. My husband calls them my pajama jeans! :rotfl:

A) you can wear your yoga pants, even the ratty ones.
But B) 364 days a year it is friggin hot down there and I wouldn't want to wear them. Look into sparkle skirts. They are kinda like bike shorts (so no chafing) with pockets and skirts over them. Once I found them, I never looked back for WDW wear! They are designed for runners, but make perfect park clothes, because they prevent chafing and dry really fast and they make loud colors and plain black. I like the hiker length but I do have quite a few of the regular length too.

Whatever yoga pants you chose to wear in the parks, please please make sure they look like pants! I see way too many people who look like they are walking around in a top and tights. And I've also seen some pics where people wore nude yoga pants and look like they are naked from the waist down!:scared1:

Ok, so, yoga pants might be hot? I'm going the week before Easter. Accuweather is showing historical highs of 79/80 and lows of 59/60.

I was thinking yoga capris would be good for the days and even long yoga pants or similar might be needed in the evenings.

I'd pack for a variety, but shorts or skirt/biker shorts things weren't even on my radar.

B is simply not true. We have been more times in the last 20 years than I can count. Every trip has been December and January. We have had some warm park days and maybe one or two very warm days, but we have had a TON more COLD COLD days. The highest temp I can ever remember was 85 MLK week one year. We have also had lows in the 20's. Most of the time we are all good in long pants and tshirts. We add layers as needed. Most mornings we have needed a hoodie. The boys have worn shorts a day or two a few trips but never me and they would have been fine in long pants. We rarely swim, The pants I wear are perfect for the weather we travel in.

I did! They are now my favorite shorts! Perfect for the house/sleep but a bit too short for me to feel comfortable wearing in park.

I ordered a pair of Columbia Anytime Outdoor pants. I have a pair of the shorts from that line and they have enough stretch to be comfy so I'm hoping the pants will too. If they work for me, I'll order a second pair and be good to go since we have laundry facilities in our villa. :thumbsup2

That's great so glad you were able to give them a new purpose.:laundy:
