Comfortable Crocs?

Thank you Eljay and Kristinlynn. I was afraid that about that cause I want to order only one pair ,so I guess no malindi :sad2: I will be going to The Brown Derby and I really don't want to wear caymen or beach. What would be a cute pair but I can wear all week for comfort? Is their a pair of crocs that can do both? Help:confused3

I bought the croc capri flip flops and they are great. I wore them for a week in WDW and 2 weeks in Hawaii, no problems. I even got my husband a pair and he likes them too.

I have the athens and the capri and while I like the look of the Capri better, I like the feel of the Athens. It seems to have better support and cushion. Both pair were purchased the same day so it isn't that one pair is older and therefore more worn out than the other. In fact I wear the Athens more simply because it is more comfortable. Silly me...I thought that one pair of Crocs would feel the same as the next pair, regardless of style.

Both athens and capri are 'flip flop" style with the post between the toes. I was amazed that the post DID NOT rub my foot. Usually I spend the first couple of weeks of summer reacquainting my feet to the post in my flip flops, but these were effortless.

With Crocs, I thought I read some home remedies or lotions that are available to prevent blisters. Anyone heard of these or know what I'm talking about? I plan on taking regular walking shoes and Crocs. I believe the Crocs would be more comfortable, but I'm worried about blisters...and I dont want to wear socks with them!!!

I haven't tried it but have read on the forums about a product called Body Glide. It is an anti chaffing and anti blister product used by athletes. You can find it at Dicks Sporting Goods and possibly other sports related stores or sections or amazon online.I plan on buying some for my first WDW vacation this Oct because like you I would rather avoid discomfort at any cost. Hope this helps;)

I have a pair of the Cleo's and they are a 2 strap sandle, very comfy. I have worn them with skirts, capris, shorts.
Personally I can't wear them all day in the parks, but I do have heel problems. I have worn the Cayman's most of the day then switch to the Cleo's for the evening. If you have no foot problems you could probably wear them all day. I just do better foot wise by trading back and forth with different styles. The Cayman's/Beach have thicker soles- so more cushion.

I admit, I haven't read the WHOOOOLE thread, but has anyone worn the Alice style crocs? I bought them because they're INSANELY comfy and don't look too, um, "croc-y" lol. I have worn regular flats to WDW in the summer, but I am suspecting since these are all rubber I might be walking around in sweaty little puddles if I wear these to the parks :crazy2: Eew.

I have the regular and flip flop crocs and they truly are worth the money. I bought the athens flip flops for WDW and they were great. The flip flops helped keep me cool in the heat and no leg or hip pain.

I just bought a pair of Fit Flops and will be taking them to WDW with me in July. I will be taking my crocs flip flops though as back ups just in case.

I wear a size 15 and so I haven't really looked for them even though my whole family owns them. When I did find them they were in black only. I finally started looking, primarily because of this thread, and found an xxxl which is 14-15 at Dicks (they are brown, but this is better than black), three days ago. Except for work I haven't taken them off. After a few hours of wearing them, they were probably the most comfortable shoes I have ever worn. However, I could tell it was rubbing on the top of my foot and a little on my heals. I put on a little body glide and I don't feel this at all.

I didn't have any luck getting body glide at Dick's. I had to go to a specialty outdoor store and it was 6 bucks. While it does look like a deoderant stick, don't be fooled. It looks like a mini deoderant stick. There ain't a lot in there. I would get two or three. Not just for your feet of course, but it is great for all those high frictions places. And unfortunately the total area of high friction areas tends to increase for me each year.:rotfl2:

Great! That's what I'm looking for. I've got approx. 24 hours before we hop in the car and head to the airport to head out. Thank you so much! I'll let you know how it works.

What about the baja flip flop. I like the style. I will be using them for a trip to the shore so not as intense as Disney. Will be coming to Disney in Nov. so would still have time to get something else if i do not think they are for ALOT of walking. But is their anyone who has them and are they comfortable and do they stay on?

You've all sold me on Crocs and I want to get a pair for DH. What size/type should I get for him? He is a 9.5 Wide. I'm thinking the Beach (they are wider, yes?). Should I get L or XL? :confused3

I use Body Glide when I go running. It is fantastic stuff. I put it on my upper legs so they don't rub. I've also heard of women putting it around their bust for the same reason. I have not tried it on my feet. It is great for in the parks. I like to wear skirts, but again my legs tend rub in the heat. Body Glide keeps me from chafing. I highly recommend it.

I have black Beach crocs. I wear black no-show socks with them. You can't even tell I'm wearing socks.

we swear by the capri style! it's the flip flop w/ the nylon strap. that's pretty much all i wear in the parks now.

although i'm dying to try one of the newer styles - it looks almost like a sketchers type shoe. it's got a canvas part to the "body" of the shoe...usually two toned. any takers on that one?

I bought the Payless flip flop Croc-alikes and they killed my feet...wored them around the house for a day and it killed me

That's awesome! Have a wonderful and safe trip!:cutie:

Last year I found the beach Crocs to be too hot in June, so I switched to the Crocs Athens flip flops and was fine until the last day, when I developed a very small blister. DD wore a different style Crocs flip flop (with the nylon toe) and was ok, but did get a blister...
DH wore the beach Crocs and got the worst blisters I've ever seen:scared1: . I don't know if it was that he hadn't broken them in, but he was a mess and went back to his sneakers.

Next week I'm bringing my Crocs flip flops and Crocs slide sandle pair - can't remember the style name... DD is bringing her Crocs flip flops and her Uggs flip flops (but she got a blister with THOSE yesterday!) and we bought DH a pair of Ecco sandals, but he doesn't like them. Grrr..$100 later....
I'll bet he ends up with his darn sneakers again... AND blisters.
(already packed the blister bandaids!)

Has anyone tried the Adara? I have the Cleo but I can't go the whole day in them. Would love to try the Athens that a PP recommended, but I normally don't do well with the post :( Would love to hear a report on the Adara though!!!

I rather like the look of the adara, the sporty adara, and the capris.

Does anyone have a review of either adara?
