Comfortable Crocs?

Another crocs convert! Broke down and bought a mary jane pair before my trip last fall. OMG! I have a bad ankle and the crocs were amazing. Ankle not nearly as swollen. Forgot to pack the bloody crocs a few weeks ago for my WDW trip. I am now a proud owner of pink Mickey mary janes. First purchase this trip and they saved my feet!

Do not wear socks but gotta try the dryer mold to your feet thing!:yay:

I have Crocs Caymans, Cleo's and Patra's. The Caymans/Beach are best for alot of park walking. I think the bottoms wear down because all the parks your walking on cement all the time and it is abrasive. I like my Cleo's alot because they are comfortable, look a little more stylish but they really don't work so well for me for all day parks, I can usually wear them for about 1/2 a day or so. My feet don't get sore or anything they just don't have quite the cushion and support the Cayman/Beach have.
I used to think Crocs were kinda ugly looking. But 2 trips ago I was wearing Birkenstocks (long time wearer) and my feet were just killing me, my ankles were swelling and I was in alot of pain. My son had brought his Airwalk brand of crocs (payless) and was not wearing them so I put them on with short socks. Within 24 hrs my feet were happy, swelling reduced and I could enjoy my park touring. This sold me on this type of shoe. I think the payless brand is very comfortable also but the Crocs brand is a bit softer and cushier. If you don't want to spend the price for Crocs then try the payless ones to get started and see if you like them.
I do sometimes wear socks (no show) because humid weather makes my feet sweat alot. Don't worry what they look like as long as your feet are happy it does not matter!
Crocs does also sell Crocs RX- more support for people with foot problems, I am considering a pair of them for our trip in December to be on the safe side.

I have never worn crocs to the parks yet but I'm going to in October. I love the off road style. They have velcro in the back and they are very supportive. Best for walking long distance and such. I also have a beach pair I will be bringing with me.

Good luck!

I just bought a pair of the Capri with the canvas straps. I find that the plastic straps rub a blister if they get wet.... although I never tried it with the Crocs brand. Besides, I think the canvas capris are much cuter! Anyway, they're VERY comfortable. I'm planning to try them out when we go to WDW in July.

One note... I normally wear a 5 1/2, but I went into a Croc store and the 4's give me PLENTY of room. I needed to make sure since the Canvas Capris are only sold online. I'm glad I did, because they fit perfectly!

I'm a CROC GIRL all the way:thumbsup2 I just returned last Friday from our 1st WDW family vacation and I wore my crocs while there. I had my Nike tennis shoes and wore them once, but preferred my crocs WAY more. I live in them. I wear them more than any other shoe I have. I have orange, teal, purple and my recent addition, BLACK & RED MICKEY ONES that I bought at the GF shop @ the resort while on vacation :) :) I saw them and had to have them. ZAPPOS.COM BUYSHOES.COM but I don't believe they carry the Disney ones. There is a site that does but I can't remember the name of it. ENDLESS.COM might be it. Check it out. My feet still got sore by the end of the day but I think you could have the BEST shoe on the market and still have tired feet at the end of the day because it is ALOT of walking but the crocs worked the best for me. GIVE THEM A TRY!

I don't wear the straps on the back anyhow. They move and you can leave them up near the front of the shoe instead. I prefer this as I hate straps period on the back of my shoe. I like the normal crocs. They offer sooooooooooooo many colors, there is a color to suit everyone. The MaryJane crocs are cute but I like wearing them with socks, not barefoot and the MaryJanes wouldn't look too hot with socks, LOL. I find if you don't wear socks, your feet SWEAT ALOT so I prefer a low-cut sock with mine.

I didn't have to take my crocs off to ride rides. I rode soarin and they were fine. They only had restrictions against mostly like flip flops and stuff. The soles don't wear down easily either. I've had my crocs for a GOOD while and walk pavement everyday and wore them to Disney and they are completely fine.

I just bought my kids some Scutes (like the regular ones but sandals - and jibbitz still work!) and had to splurge on some Adaras for me while I was at it. =) They look like the Cleos. I'm hoping to switch between those and my slip-on New Balance tennis shoes throughout the week.

Anyway, I got them at shoestation.com with a coupon code: momo for 20% off plus free shipping with an order over $59.99. (That's why I had to get the pair for myself, you know!)

They're as ugly as they can be, but a friend who is a fan got me a pair (half joke, half to make me try them) and I have to admit that they are comfy. I still prefer tennis shoes, though.

I wouldn't wear them out in parks or shopping or anything, but I love them for running to get the mail. They're also great for driving, as they can be kicked off easily.

Don't some of the rides have shoe restrictions, such as no flip flops or mules? What do you do with them when riding? I can't imagine sitting on them, wouldn't want them to fly off my feet on a coaster and wouldn't really like leaving them behind when we were riding. This has been one of my biggest concerns about wearing Crocs into the parks. With tennies, my shoes are firmly tied to my feet!

The only ride at Disney where I can recall ever hearing something like that is Soarin. And there I do believe they apply it mostly to sandals. You can just kick them off then and there and they will be there when you get back. All of the coasters at Disney are non-suspended, so your feet are never dangling and it shouldn't be a problem.

That was my experience too, but I just put the strap on in the back and they let me keep them on.

Thanks for all the tips! I'm sold going to buy myself a pair, my dd12 a pair and my dbf a pair(even though he doesn't want them lol) I really want our first trip to be enjoyable(and blister free!) for all of us:rotfl:

Wait till you at Disney and get you some there! I got a pair of POC crocks last year they still look and wear great!

I seriously think the original Crocs are the ugliest things ever and I refuse to be caught dead in them, sorry. I do think some of the other styles are very cute like the capri. I might have to try a pair. But I think I will stick with my cool max socks at the parks.

I love my crocs! I am a nurse and I have more than 10 pairs in all different colors of the beach to match my scrubs. I also have the athens, capri and niles for non-work. And I love my mammoths in the winter. Even here in Florida it can get pretty chilly.

For a long day in the parks I wear a pair of the beach. My legs don't get achy and I never have blisters. I do always bring my Body Glide though just in case.

I have a few styles: Beach, Cayman, Mary Janes, Sassari and Cyprus. I think the Beach and Cayman (clog) styles are the most comfortable. I plan on bringing a couple of pair of either Beach or Cayman style when we go to WDW. I had the Alice (mary jane shoe style) and thought they were horrid, not comfortable at all. I also wasn't thrilled with the primas (ballerina flat style).

One word to the warning..... I have two pair that say "Made in China" on the bottom and they are no where near as comfortable as my other crocs. I'm definately not bringing those pair with me. I got such a good deal on them at Tillys.com that I'm not going to bother returning them.

I started with one pair - Caymans after I read about them on the DIS last year. Oh man are they awesome! I wear them gardening, shopping, biking, walking, camping, swimming and of course, at WDW! I know they are horribly ugly, but I wouldn't trade them for anything. I also own the Maryjanes - that I wear to work when I can, and the Capri's which I actually don't like. The Capri's just feel uncomfortable to me, so I only wear them every so often.

I'm thinking I might need another pair for our trip, and I might get them for the boys too. :teeth:
