What would your suggestions be for affordable (around $50 or less) shoes to wear in September? I have Sperry flip flops that I wore last year, but my feet seem to be a little smaller and I am not sure I will want to wear them all day. I also have a few pair of mary jane Crocs that I wore last year. I want to alternate shoes so that I do not get blisters, as we will be there 12 days!

Thanks in advance for your help!

For our last trip to WDW, I purchased New Balance walking shoes. They are the most comfortable shoes I own. The definately cost less than $50 at the shoe store where I purchased them. I recently purchased a pair of danskin walking shoes at of all places walmart, so comfortable are they that my 77 yr old mother took my advice and purchased herself a pair for our September trip.

Since we are both diabetic, shoe comfort and easy wearability are important.

My rule when doing theme parks is sturdy but comfy walking shoes, with some sort of sock at all times. My kids have given me a hard time about that, but after seeing little ones walking around crying because their feet hurt, I have been given the look of "mom was right" many a time.

I own a great pair of shoes by easy-spirit. No tie, they just have a strap that stretches over your heal. I wear with or without socks. I have navy, but I am pretty sure they come in other colors.

If you like flip flops, Yellowbox is the most comfortable pair that I have ever worn. I can wear them everyday in the parks and my feet never hurt. I love them.

Have never tried them at Disney, but I just recently purchased a pair of Teva Mush flip flops (found them on a clearance rack for $5!) and I LOVE them! I have a lot of problems with foot pain and these really cushion my foot as I walk -- no more pain! :cloud9:

I have knee and back problems and got Teva Flip Flops at Dillards. They have just enough support that it is like wearing the inserts I have in all my other shoes. The best part is that they were on sale at Dillards's for 16.99.

I'm like you I dont like Tennis Shoes. I'm looking for something that is a cross between a full shoe and a sandal that is inexpensive. I've seen them b4, but cant figure out the name of them. they are like hiking sandals w/a top and back, but full of holes to breath....UGH I wish I could describe it better.

**Edit**
Okay this is what I'm looking for, but I dont want to pay $90...I've heard super things about them.

I wear good sneakers with socks and over-the-counter orthotics (for my flat feet), and I make sure I wear really good socks that absorb moisture. I also keep a pair of Crocs in my bag in case I'm going on a wet ride (like Splash Mountain or Kali River Rapids), and then change back into my sneakers when my feet are dry. I've never gotten a blister or had a problem with my feet. So even though the sneakers feel heavy and a little hot, I'm going to stick with them.

Going to WDW in 44 days!!:cool1:

What size shoe are you?
A ladies size 8 is equivalent to a kids 6.
if so, I cannot recommend highly enough a pair of Keen Newport H2's.
They dry quickly, have great support, comfortable heel cushion and can be machine washed. I'm going on my fourth summer, third disney trip with mine.
I just throw them in the wash on gentle cycle when they get stinky.
A kids size will cost you around $40.00 or so. You'd have to look around to find a pair in a women's size on sale.

Does anyone know if any of these sandals (Teva, Keen) work for wide feet? I have New Balance sneakers, but they are just so heavy and hot. I would love to find some comfy sandals or flip flops for our October trip.

Thanks.

I have a pair of Teva mush flip flops and a pair of Sperry leather flip flops. I also have crocs mary janes and crocs sandals. I am a little scared, because my croc sandals wore terrible blisters on my feet a few weeks ago in New Orleans.

I asked the same question before our trip last year and got many responses in favor of the Teva Mush Flip-Flops.

I now swear by the Teva Mush Flip-Flops. My 16 year old daughter and I wore nothing but Teva at Disney...and were completely comfortable. No complaints and they are so light but very cushy/supportive

So thanks to all the people who responded with how great they were...they honestly were!!!

I go to WDW 4-5 times year and all I ever wear now are Teva Mush flip flops.:cloud9: They are the most comfortable pair of shoes I own. I always carry at least a couple of pairs with me. The Montrail Molokini flip flops are also very comfortable and mold perfectly to your feet.

If you like flip flops, try Reef. That is all I wore last year and my feet never hurt. You can get them online at Zappos.

I have wide feet and the Teva Mush and the Montrail Molokini flip flops are both good. My new favorites are FitFlops - they are super comfy and fit my wide feet well.

Just came back from 7 days at Disney and wore my FitFlops every day but one and LOVED:love: them!!! They are the most comfortable flip flop ever and supposedly they work out your calfs and gluts while you walk!!!:lmao:

Have fun!!!:wizard:
