Comfort Suites washington d.c. area near metro?

We are planning a trip to the D.C. area next summer. We will use hilton points to stay at embassy suites for 1/2 trip and choice points for the other 1/2. We will use the metro. Do any locals know which Comfort Suites would have easy access to the metro? We have a family of six so we need to stay in Comfort Suites. We would prefer the Comfort Suites to be used while we go to Mt. Vernon, Arlington Nat'l Cemetary. We have stayed at the Embassy Suites in Chevy Chase and found that to be a convenient location. I'm sure you know that Mount Vernon is not accessible via Metro.

If you need Choice Hotel Suites, I would check out The Virginian Suites in Arlington. It is a bit pricy but if you are staying on Choice points you might want to check it out. They have a shuttle to the Rosslyn metro which is about one mile away. All the other Comfort Suites in Virginia are not close the Metro or are really yucky. I am not familiar with the Maryland ones.

Thank you for the replies. I think we will go with the Comfort Inn in Arlington or by Union Station. The knowledge of locals is certainly valuable. We will probably get two rooms since there are six of us. The use of the Metro is important. We took a tour bus to Mt. Vernon a couple of years ago and didn't have near enough time. I believe we can take a bus from Alexandria metro stop to Mt. Vernon? Thanks again.
