Has anyone stayed at the Comfort Suites Maingate East?

My wife and I stayed there in Oct. 2002. The rooms were very clean and the sofa was a nice touch. The continental breakfast was very good. It has a great location. The pool area is nice.
We paid about $53/ night. I see that that have raised their rates considerably but you can book a room for about $60 through the AAA website.
If you desire specific information, I will try to respond to your questions.

I don't know when you're going, but hotelmartUSA.com has some of the best rates for that hotel.. I called the hotel directly to ask questions about the suite that accomodates 6 and they told me that the hotelmartUSA more often than not has the best rates and are a very reliable web site to go thru..

I've heard GREAT things about it and will be considering it myself for next Nov/Dec.

I haven't stayed at Comfort Suites Maingate East, but I did book it for April. I was able to get a good rate by taking advantage of the Choice Hotel site's "E-Rate Guarantee."

Hotelmartusa had a rate of $53.50 for a studio suite (Choice's main site had a rate of $80). I booked thru Choice, then submitted an E-Mail Guarantee form and had my rate reduced to $47.15 within about an hour. I figure with the free continental breakfast, in room fridge and microwave - it's a pretty good deal.

Stacieps, how did you get the rate reduced? We are planning a trip and I saw the rates for $80.10, I would like to get a reduced rate. Thanks for any info you can provide.

I booked on Choice Hotel's site at the $80.10 (I had already found the $53.50 rate at Hotelmartusa). I filled out the E-Rate guarantee form on Choice Hotel's site (had to have booking # for Choicehotel site, name of site with lower rate, etc.). Choice Hotel guarantees lowest rate or they reduce your rate to the lower one you find less 10%, so that's how I ended up with the $47.15.

Just check the hotelmartusa site first to see if their rate is still at $53.50. I just booked mine on 1/10.
