Has anyone stayed? What did you like/dislike? Is it close enough for the parks etc, I read that it has free shuttles to Universal, Disney and the outlets but I am worried that Kissimmee is too far away? [Can you tell I have no idea where it is :confused3 ]
We want to go to the Arabian Nights dinner, and maybe just wander about in Orlando for a day, and we're staying for 9 days. What is people's opinions? Is it a nice hotel, or should we stay in Orlando?

Thanks heaps

We stayed there a few years ago and loved it. It is only about 5 minutes (probably less) to the main gates of Disney. The shuttle driver would have all the kids yell as we were approaching the gates. I think we only paid $45.00/night through hotelmartusa.com and we certainly got our monies worth. The free continental breakfast was great. For a family of 5, we would have spent more than $45.00 for breakfast if we had to go out to eat.
It is quite a distance from Universal and the shuttle ride was very long. That, I would not do again. I would have to say it took about 1.5 hours each way. considering the shuttle makes numerous stops at various hotels.
There are several places to eat within walking distance. I only remember going to the Red Lobster but I am sure there were more.
I enjoyed my stay here and have no problems going back.

Have a great time.

We're staying here soon but won't be using the shuttle as we will have a hire car. Apart from the fact we are a family of 5 one of the reasons we chose this hotel was because it is within walking distance of Old Town.

There have been good reviews of the hotel both on here and on TripAdvisor.

We liked it (were there August 2006). We found the shuttle to be reliable, the pool well-maintained, and it was close enough to Old Town without being too close (i.e., very short walk to get there, but far enough away so you didn't hear the amusements at night). There was a Publix across the street for grocery shopping (we bought some snacks and sodas), and we went for dinner one night at the Bennigans, also across the street.
And if your main purpose is going to the parks, definitely stay in Kissimee. Orlando is too long a drive to stay there when visiting Disney (the parksare actually in Kissimee)

Have a great trip!

I've stayed here 3-4 times and yes I would say it's one of the better hotels on 192 west of 535(I wouldn't stay at any hotel east if 535, as the area is starting to become pretty run-down).As far as the Comfort Suites, I think it's great, you can usually get it at a very good price, it has a good breakfast, nice big clean, rooms, so I would stay there again anytime!!!

This is the hotel we always use when we visit WDW. We did try staying onsite for a few nights last year to see if it was worth the extra money and found this hotel was far more preferable to staying onsite. The free shuttles are not the best unless you are planning to stay at one park all day as the schedule is very limited. The free breakfast is a definite plus and the rooms are both spacious and clean. The only negative comment we would have is that there are only two elevators serving 198 suites therefore the wait times to catch the elevators can get quite lengthy at peak times however if you're not afraid to walk up or down a few flights of stairs this problem becomes a non issue. It's about 5 minutes to Disney and about 10-15 minutes to Universal, plus you are right next door to Old Town and there are a number of restaurants and shops within walking distance.
