We will be in CA from 5/13-5/19. We are staying at the Comfort Inn Maingate (down Harbor) in a kid's suite. I've been trying to find reviews and can't find many for this hotel. I have little kids (5, 3, 1, 1) and wanted a door to close between us and them. This was one of the few kids suites with an actual door. I know that it's not across the street but basically we just need a clean place to sleep.

We stayed there in '05.

I actually really liked the place, as far as a budget motel goes. Very clean, extremely nice staff, reasonably priced. From what I recall, the free breakfast wasn't anything to write home about (cereal, fruit, oatmeal, juice, coffee, danishes), but that's about standard fare these days. The rooms are pretty large and furnishings basic, but sturdy. We never had any problems with noise or anything. The parking lot was very big so parking was never a problem. There are quite a few fast food restaurants close by (Taco Bell, Carl's Jr, etc) which was nice.

It's about a mile from DLR so unless you want to drive, ART is a must. The nice part about that is it's the first stop on that route. So you are pretty much guaranteed a seat on the bus going there and on the way from the parks it's the shortest ride since it's the first stop. :thumbsup2

Feel free to PM me if you have any more questions. :)

We've stayed there also, in the family suite. It was nice because you had 2 bathrooms and the rooms were in the back, so I didn't notice any noise. If I remember, the ART stop was actually next door at the Vagabond, I think, but it was a 30 second walk. I liked it, and would stay there again, if we had to.

FYI, we've updated the breakfast to have freshly made waffles. More details can be found at our website that you can google for.
