any opinions? we just need 1 night for after our cruise and a day at typhoon lagoon

We did 1 night back in June at LBV Comfort Inn and we liked it. Of course this isn't the 1st time staying there for us either. It's close to DTD so it worked for us.

We stayed at Tropical Palms for a couple nights in February. It was great. You might be disappointed if you stay for only one night - we wished we could stay for more than two when we were there! We were actually going to stay there instead of a Disney resort for our next trip but have since chosen POFQ over Tropical Palms but only because the price has increased at TP and we would be paying almost the same! But if we weren't going to WDW we would most certainly stay at TP.

did you stay in a studio or 2 bedroom?

We stayed in a studio. It had 1 queen bed and a dbl bed and pull out couch in the "living room". There was another double mattress up in the loft. It was great. Plenty of room for the 4 of us.

I am getting the studio for $59- will be there 10/30!

You sure got an excellent rate! Have a great time. When we were there in Feb we saw a small alligator in the pond. And if you're into armadillos, they have them too - saw one in the pool enclosure one early morning!

My friends and I stayed at Comfort Inn LBV for 6 days (Oct. 7-13) and we had no problems except for a slow draining bathtub, but that was immediately taken care of by the maintenance guy after we complained at the front desk. The room is very basic yet clean. There were a few minor dents and worn out paint, but it didn't bother us since we paid $52/night. Budget-wise it's a great hotel especially if you're staying for just one night.

Location is PERFECT! Palm Parkway is very quiet, clean, and pretty. Lots of palm trees lining the road. Plus, there are TONS of restaurants nearby, so you'll have plenty of choices to eat. SeaWorld, Disney, and Universal are close by--about 10 minutes away.

We asked for a room facing the parking lots b/c it's supposedly quieter than the one facing I-4. We had no problems w/ noise and slept like babies. We also didn't have any problems w/ loud neighbors or kids running around at night.

We didn't get a chance to use the outdoor pool, but it was a good size and seemed clean. Lots of towels and chairs available for use. Hours are 9am-10pm.

There's wireless internet service in the lobby and dial-up service in the rooms.

Bottom line: If you're looking for a nice place to stay for a low price, Comfort Inn LBV is definite worth it!!

I recommend Cattleman's Steakhouse on Bruton Blvd. My friends had the Porterhouse (medium rare) and could not stop raving about it! There's one on International Drive, but avoid that place like the plague! The road is EXTREMELY jam-packed w/ traffic.

Have a good time!

Comfort Inn LBV. We got a cheaper rate than $52 per night. If you go to www.choicehotels.com and select the Comfort Inn in Lake Buena Vista, Florida, there is a drop down box. Select "special internet rate" and the price goes down $5. For a non-smoking room with two double beds, we paid $44.10 before taxes. After taxes, it was under $50. For the price, it cannot be beat. The rooms are clean, there is a refrigerator in each room, and a free breakfast. We would stay there again!
