We are currently booked at Comfort Inn LBv for Dec 21st for one night. We got a rate of $54.56. I am wondering if I should switch to the Sheraton Safari for the $59 rate due to mixed reviews on the Comfort Inn. We are attending MVMCP on Dec 21st so really just looking for a cheap yet clean place to stay for one night since we won't be spending much time in the hotel. Does anyone know which hotel is closer to Magic Kingdom & also, which hotel do you prefer. Thanks

It's funny because we too have that rate at the Comfort Inn and I was looking at the Sheraton's special. The cheaper Sheraton rate isn't available for our nights (just the $20 more pool view is), but if it were, that's the one I would chose. The 2 hotels are not far from each other, so the distance from MK is about equal. I've never stayed at either. We have the Sheraton booked for points in May, so we will stay there eventually.

Check to see if there's a mandatory resort rate that may make the price a bit more than you expect.

I changed our ressie last night from Comfort Inn to the Sheraton. I have checked several places & can't seem to find a resort fee so hopefully one won't be charged.

After staying at both hotels, I'd definitely do the Sheraton hands-down. CI LBV is a 2.5* resort with outside corridors and a small avg. pool. The SS is a 3* resort, interior corridors, pool with a great slide and closer to WDW.

I also took advantage of the $59 rate in Dec. and can't wait to get back there!!! :teeth:

saw the offer yesterday, priced it out & it did mention that additional resort fees would apply, didn't specify $.

seems like a great deal though, congrats.

I emailed the hotel direct to see if there was a resort fee & the response I got back was " the room tax at the hotel was 12.5% & this included the resort fee".
