I was able to book a room for $35 using my Orlando Magicard in Oct.

I have stayed in this hotel before for short stays and found it to be good.

Just passing on a savings tip to those that might need it.

All I did was call their hotel directly (800-999-7300) and asked if they had any Magicard rates during my stay in Oct. She said that you have to show proof of the card when checking in.

How far from the parks is this hotel? Is it a nice, clean, decent place? If anyone has read any of my posts, then you know we are trying to save as much money as we can so we can splurge on our cruise instead. This sounds like an awesome rate, but the last time we got a deal like this it took so long to get to the parks that it wasn't worth it. We don't want to be anything more than 5 minutes to main gate b/c we only have three days b/f the cruise and we want to make the most of our time.

Good rate and I always forget to ask about Magiccard rates.

Lovethatmouse, this hotels is about l0 minutes at the most to the parks. Probably less if traffic is not too bad. It's on Palm Parkway off 535 near DTD.

Don't forget to use it on the restaurants. Really good deals there too. The card has improved and it is free. If for some reason you forget it you can get another one at the visitors centers.

Can I apply the discounts when booking a hotel and then show the card at checkin??
