So my friend and i were going to stay at POP becuase she works for Disney and gets fab discounts. But she was not able to book the POP becuase there was black out date on the hotel becuase of Spring Break crowds. So she book our room at the Comfort Inn Lake Buena Visita. I read a ton of reviews from a bunch of travel sites and they were all very very mixed. I read a lot of things that made me feel unconfortable abotu staying at this hotel. My friend got kind of upset when I brought this up to her. After all I am the one paying for the hotel since she's taking time off work for my visit and such, so I thought I should be able to get to choose where we stay.

She said that she visted the property and it was nice but didn't go in any rooms or anything like that.

I'm still sorta nervous staying there. Since we're both 19 y/o girls traveling alone.

Anyone have reviews about the hotel? Thanks!

I also booked here after reading mixed reviews. I think it sould be fine. It seemed like the bad reviews were always from years ago and the better reviews were from 2008 so maybe they fixed things up. We ALWAYS stay at Pop but are going to Universal after gettig free passes so I was just looking for a cheap and clean hotel. I'll be posting a review here one way or another after we get back. We'll be there April 12-15th.

I'll be there in two weeks (the 4-7th). I'll be sure to let you know how it was. lol.

We've stayed there three times. The hotel is nice. It was clean clost to everything. We get a rental car. For all the longer you are at the hotel the price is great. It's no Disney hotel of course. There are two swimming pools. A restaurant on site. Never ate there. The choices of places to eat are numerous. You are about 5 minutes from Sea World. Anymore questions just ask. There is a security guard posted at the entrance you girls will be fine. Have a wonderful time.

HI We stayed there 3 yrs ago for one night before staying on Disney, we spent most of the time at the pool and it was big and clean, we had a room right down the corridor from the pool, the room was also fine...we had 6 in it as we were just stopping for the night. It was fine. I would stay there again.

If you are the one paying you could always book at the POP yourself, though you wouldn't get the discount.

I've stayed there many times over the past years - sometimes solo - and it's always been a positive experience. Yes, it's an older resort, worn in places, but I've always found the room to be clean and worth the price. It's also very close to DTD. The security gate is good - almost didn't let my DB & DSIL in because they didn't know my room number!!!

HTH!! I'll try to answer any other questions!!
