Has anyone stayed here? I got a good deal and booked it for my December trip. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I have not stayed at that one but reading reviews on other forums it looks pretty bad. I have stayed at other comfort suites in the area and liked them. I find if you book a room under $50 in the area it's pretty bad. IMHO.

It pains me to write this, because I have such fond memories of this place. As you can tell from my siggy, it was my first Orlando hotel and I loved it, and for a long time, it was my go-to, book at the last minute place on those impromptu trips.

However, the last stay did it for me. The service was poor, there was a smell of mold in each of the three rooms we were moved to, and the breakfast had sort of stale offerings. There were some bugs in the bathroom (I don't think they were roaches, but I can't identify them), and I'm not 100% certain that the sheets were clean. I didn't even want to bring back McDonald's to eat in the room. Now, for $39/night I can't really complain, as we were just doing a few nights before heading to BWV, but never again. Now, I don't even think it's suitable for the sleeping-n-showering crowd. Skip this one.

I just got the Country Inn & Suites LBV for $49/night for the first part of my June trip. You may want to see what they have for December, as they offer an awesome breakfast, and rooms with fridge/microwave.

I just wanted to comment on the $49 Country Inn & Suites LBV rate. I saw this rate on Travelzoo and tried to get it. The link on Travelzoo took me to another booking site where I couldn't find any information on cancellation policies or any additional fees. I decided to call the reservation number which claims to be the hotel. I made the reservation on the phone for the $49 rate. They said they couldn't send me an email confirmation, but I would be able to see my reservation on the CI&S website. This is strange because CI&S has always sent me an email confirmation in the past. It took several hours for the reservation to show up. Again this is strange because when I called the national number for CI&S they said if the hotel was making the reservation it should show up immediately. They also couldn't find any Travelzoo rates for this hotel. When my reservation did show up online, it was not for $49. It was actually for $80 - $84 depending on the night. I decided to cancel as I just wasn't comfortable that I would get the $49 rate and the $80-$84 is more than my reservations elsewhere.

I hope it works out for you. I did stay in this hotel a couple of years ago and it was very nice.

I stayed 1 night last November for $33 rate.
Our room was fine, included breakfast was as expected, pool was clean, and didnt have any problems with the staff. It was much better than staying at Motel6,Knights Inn,or similar for the same price.
I always buy a can of lysol and give the bed and room a good spray before we unpack or use anything. It makes me feel a bit safer for about $3. Its kind of a ritual now. I check the room, spray from the bathroom to the door, being sure to pull back the bed spreads and pillows, then we go out for a meal or a little site seeing.

The Comfort Inn LBV was also the first hotel we stayed at on our maiden trip to Disney and it was great in in 1995, not so nice now. My daughter stayed there in May 2008 and said she would never stay there again, even at $33. She also stayed at the Country Inn & Suites last December and was quite pleased. I did book 2 rooms through Travelzoo for our upcoming trip in June and did get the $49 rate. I have used Travelzoo many, many times to book stays in Orlando and never had a problem. There was also a cancellation policy once you click on the link to check for availibility. It states:

Cancellation Policy:
Your reservation is confirmed and guaranteed. Should you need to make a cancellation to your reservation, it must be done by 6:00 PM the day of your arrival. Cancellations made after this period are subject to a charge of one night.

I also received an email confirmation of both reservations.

By the way, if my ten-year-old grandson, who doesn't care where he stays so long as he's in the neighborhood, is complaining, then it must be really bad.

I went ahead and made the reservation for the travelzoo rate at Country Inn & Suites LBV online. That way I did receive a confirmation email with the $49 rate. It also states that the cancellation policy is 6 pm day of arrival which is CI&S standard policy. I checked the CI&S website and the new reservation showed the rate as $99 with a note again under special requests stating the $49 rate. So I sent an email to the hotel manager through the CI&S website and he told me the $49 rate is legitimate and that is what I will pay, not the $99 showed on the CI&S reservation.
