For the pin traders here, just making sure you know of pinpics.com.
I use to do all my trading via mail. Although I stopped trading for the most part a few years ago. Now I only trade when someone specifically e-mails me and we agree on a trade.

DH and I aren't hard core pin traders. We just trade for pins that interest us at the time. We don't know if a pin is highly collectable and sought after. Right now with DS we are trying to widdle down the number of pins we have to around twenty. Just enough to have fun with on future trips. Thanks for offering the website tho.

I thought that this thread was supposed to be for re-puposing our unwanted stuff. Aren't there rules about "money or it's equivalent" being exchanged between members? Asking for gift cards for your unwanted stuff just sounds like a way of trying to get around the "no cash" rule that makes FOR SALE posts against the terms of service.
I really hope that this works out for you and the member that you traded with is just having a hard time getting out to the post office. But this is an example of why the "no cash" rule exists.
Didn't know anything about the no cash rule I guess that was my fault however what is the difference if I get stuck for say a 75 dollar gift card or an item that was worth 75 dollars? Either way I'm out.

Well, since the original intent of the thread was to find a new home for something you no longer valued or has a use for, then you really would only be "out" whatever it cost to ship the item. However, when a trade involves going out and buying a gift card (and thus spending cash), then you are "out" the value of that gift card.
And once again, I'm sorry that you haven't heard from your trading partner and I really do hope that it's simply a matter of not being able to get out to the post office to ship it. I would hate to think that someone cheated another member of the disboards but I have seen it happen before, especially when a hard-luck story is involved.
This is the chance you take trading here. Anything you mail out may just be taken with nothing given to you in return. You hope that DISers are honest people. Most are but there are a small few that ruin it for others.
Are you the one who had the Baby Einstein DVDs? If so, we are interested in them! I have lots of random Disney stuff around my house, I'll try to post some pics to see if you are interested!
I could make you a FE in exchange for pins. I am not sure what you'd want to trade, I am just looking for some for my 4yo son to take to WDW. He won't know what is what, but I know he'd enjoy the experience.
