Thanks for the info... calling now to see if it can be applied to our room. I'm a bit doubtful though as when I look online the rack rates show up now not the GP discounts. We can't login to check AP rates since we are buying them when we land in Orlando on the way to the hotel.
Good luck everyone - absolutely NO AVAILABILITY on my dates (12/1-6) at ANY deluxe resort for ANY room except OKW with the Passholder rate. Well, that's a very disappointing first for me!! Like I said before . . . no love for the loyal, frequent AP holders - all the discounts and rooms went to pin holders and GP rates first.
We waited for the AP rates so we just saved $2K! Yay!!!! But to be honest, if there wasn't an AP rate we would have cancelled our reservation! But still happy! Now to look for flights....
Thank you Emilymad I was up at 3:30 AM Pacific time and saw nothing on the passholders site. Sat at the computer and sent a long PM to a friend. Was going back to bed when I checked this thread and saw your post.
I second the "YOU ROCK making it a YOU ROCKED MY WORLD" statement. Saved $1000.00 on two rooms for our trip in October. Had a super great CM who worked very quickly as rooms were going fast. I am so glad I held onto my passholder & dine reservation and didn't change it yesterday.
Have a great day everyone and good luck with your trips!
I have an excellent bounceback for November (40% off YC waterview) -- and after checking AP rates this morning, I'll be keeping the bounceback. YC does not have AP rate for Fri & Sat (althogh BC does!). It gets weirder all the time.
I too have noticed that the AP rates at many of the resorts are not being applied to Friday and Saturday nights. Those two nights show up at rack rate! That more than totally negates the extra 2% savings you get for an AP (42%) over the general public discount (40%) because the general public discount applied to all seven nights of the week, at least in the examples I compared so the entire week was cheaper using 40% off than it was using 42% off! While I understand weekends are busier I would hope if you are wanting to book an entire week at a resort they could give a discount covering every night.
I understand AP discounts are a bonus and we can't really complain but this is a disturbing trend. I'm disappointed that Disney doesn't miss a trick anymore. It seems every change they have made over the past few years whether it is regarding the Dining Plan or elimination of weekend discounts benefits them, not us. I guess if they go too far business will slow down....oh wait that has already happened.
I booked yesterday with the general public code, looking into the AP rate today, I can save another $128, how do I go about applying that? Should I cancel the other one and re-book or can I call?
Would anyone be willing to do me a HUGE favor and check availability? We are upgrading to APs when we go next weekend, so I can't access the AP site yet. Our check in is 10/22, check out 10/25 (3 nights) - would love Contemporary or maybe Beach Club.

I need a huge favor from someone. Can't get to the AP site since I need to update at arrival.
I have Poly garden view already booked for 12/10 to 12/18 at 40% off. Could someone check and see if it is even available since I am waiting for a call from the Dr. and can't be on hold forever at WDW. The 2% doesn't add much but I wanted to add dining
