Come on AP Rates!!!

Will the AP discounts past 10-2, that we are all assuming to be coming (tomorrow???), be available online at the WDW site just as soon as they are available by calling? In other words, do we have to call or can we just book them ourselves online and not lose out???:confused3

I imagine the first place they will appear is online, and so to avoid the hold on the phone, I'd book online! Personally, we don't have our APs in hand, so we can't book online :sad2: but I'll be on the phone as soon as I get the code! My guess is that if you can access the AP site, you'll be able to book online as soon as they are available!

so basically apers are going to get screwed. anytime discounts have been released ap discounts have always come out at least a week before. if they are releasing general discounts and free dining tomorrow, we aren't going to be getting much. Let's hope they are wrong.

If Disney releases these general discounts and not AP discounts, I think they will somewhat alienate their "bread-and-butter" people. From the sounds of it, they are just wanting the "extra" tickets from the general discounts, but this certainly won't make me want to get another AP!

I would imagine that it would all be available at the same time...Can we say phone system or website crash??? The ADRs are available online at 6am with phone opening at 7am, so it could be the same with the room discounts, too. I would just be ready early. I'm booked on a BB, so I'm not too concerned, but I did want to do away with the "extra" tickets that I don't need by switching to an AP package. Good Luck!

Are you sure all the discounted rooms are part of the same bucket/block? I mean I seem to recall being able to get a 42% off room using my AP when the same dates had "no availability" under the general public discount and vice versa. Just not sure they are all in the same bucket per se so if released at the same time it may not matter.

I do hope there is a slightly better rate though. The AP discount was one of the reasons I went with an AP originally.

In 2008 and 2009, the AP room only discounts were offered 1 day before the general public room only discounts. This year it seems all bets are off.

So it's officially Monday! No deals yet...guess I need to go to bed so I can be up and on the phone early!

Last year I booked in mid-Sept for our late Oct trip. AP rates were already out for some time so I'm sure all of the other discounts were released by this time as well and I still got a good rate. Just because general public discounts come out even before AP discounts doesn't mean there won't be any AP discounts. It seems that they do block off a certain amount of rooms for certain discounts. Don't lose hope.;)

Last year the rates were released on July 22 however in 2008 and 2007 the rates were released about mid August.

Hmmmm nothing as of yet for either side...

But the expired public offers are down...

yep nothing... the summer offer that expired on the 14th is still up so they have not even updated our stuff....

It was funny at 2AM this morning there was a big red announcement on this board stating that Disney announces free dinning for 2011... (gone now :) )

Is it just me? I can't seem to find the free dining promo on the website either.

When I click on special offers, I see FL residents first and then just a hotel discount for the general public.

Hi all -

It's 6:04 am here in Atlanta, and no word on AP discounts. The public discounts are definitely up, though. They are sort of buried, but they are there.

The Disney main page opens with a picture of MNSSHP and there is text along the bottom that changes with each picture. The very next picture (a family of 4) has text that says something like "Light Up Your Summer - Save at a Disney Resort Hotel." If you click it, it will take you to the new discounts.

I just booked the room only, so hopefully I'll be able to apply the AP discount when (and if) it comes. It is much better for me than free dining!

Good luck everyone!

Thanks for posting. I realized that the old FD is over now.

I'm now booked at the Pop for 88.75/night for 3 adults, but geez, what am I going to do about dining? ugh

I can't believe that AP holders got such a raw deal. Maybe they are changing the way that things operate discount-wise for APs. I guess they really need those regular ticket sales.

So do we book room only discounts since there is no sign of AP rates? I guess I should since knowing my luck as soon as I book something the AP rates will come out and I will have to redo everything. :lmao:

Like everyone else I am sooooo disappointed in no AP discounts. If I book the room only discount, can go back and add a ticket and dining at the last minute. Still hoping on an AP, but I'm almost at the 45 day mark and need to drop the free dining ressie. Geez, this is getting on my last nerve. I can't imagine how much time I have wasted every morning, just to see if there are any discounts.

B and B ya I hear ya... I booked pop to now to get some discount... still hoping tha the AP rates come...

Yeah me too. I was really planning on doing this trip w/ an AP discount and adding dining. Right now w/ the regular discount, I would most likely cancel most if not all of my dining reservations.

Don't even get me started on how much time I've spent looking/waiting for these rates! Now THAT would be really depressing! :sad2:

Has anyone actually called disney re AP rates yet today? I only ask because in the past, the AP site has not always posted a deal right away.
