Come Back Rates?

I saw on mousesavers.com that WDW is running a special with "Come back" rates. If you stay at a WDW resort you can book a later date with a special code if you call from your resort room.

Has anyone done this yet? Has there been any success, good rates, etc??

I believe it expires Feb 14th, we don't get there til Feb 13th so there may be slim pickens by then. Just wondering if anyone has booked with this yet??

Hi! We just returned yesterday. I used a code I found on the boards and called from my room. I booked a standard room at AKL for July. My rate was $133 with tax. I did not ask about any other resorts.

I booked part of our May vacation while I was down last weekend using the comeback code. I was able to get a garden view concierge room at the Polynesian for 40% off rack rate! I couldn't be happier!! Now, instead of wondering when code or AP rates are gonna come out for late May...I know I have my room booked for those dates with discounts as good as it's gonna get. We were required to put down a one night deposit, and have the normal cancellation restrictions that CRO uses. I'd call as soon as you can once you arrive. Good luck getting what you want.

I could immediately put the deposit down or send it in by a certain date. She reminded me if I didn't send the deposit (one night) in on time that I would not be able to get the rate from home. I elected to put the deposit down so I wouldn't forget.

Hi I had a reservation at the Poly for $201.00 per night! When I called to make a deposit it was too late I had past the deposit deadline and so, I asked if the special rate could be given to me again. I was told "NO" because this was a "come back sale" for anyone staying during the holidays at a WDW resort and the reservation had to be made from the resort. If I have been miss-informed please let me know so I can get a better rate then what I have now ($283.00 per night).

What dates are the come back rates good for???

I'm going to the world 2/7-2/10. Not sure we plan on returning before Jan 2004, but would be interested in knowing what the rates would be as 'come back' if they're offered for those dates.

"Come Back" Offer
Recently Disney has been placing door hangers on the knobs of select guest room doors at Walt Disney World. The door hangers offer 40% off a future 2003 stay as long as the guest books BEFORE leaving the Disney property.

The offer is good for "room only" stays March 1 - December 31, 2003 that are booked through Central Reservations (CRO) FROM YOUR HOTEL ROOM by February 14, 2003. You must pay a deposit at time of booking. Offer does not apply to packages. Offer does NOT include campsites, suites and 3 bedroom villas. Minimum 3 night stay is required. Additional per-adult charges apply if more than two adults (18 or older) per room. No group rates or other discounts apply. The number of rooms available at this discount is limited.

Apparently even if you don't get the door hanger, you can pick up your room phone and call (407) 939-7736, give code BAQ and get this discount. However, your current stay must be for 3 nights or more in order to qualify. I'm also told if you have an existing future reservation booked through CRO (not Walt Disney Travel Company), you can call while still on the property and have the rate adjusted on your future reservation, providing there is availability. (Hint: CRO reservations have a 12-digit confirmation code, while WDTC will have an 8-digit one).

And YES, Reservations can tell where you're calling from, so NO, you can't try booking this code from your home!

We just got back Sunday night from AKL. Before we left the room Sunday morning we called to check rates for November. We went ahead and booked AKL Savannah view for $165 a night, $183.98 incl. tax. We also checked Coronado Springs, $88.80/$99.01 incl tax (this was a waterview) and I think $133.13 for Wilderness Lodge (can't tell from my husband's notes if this with before or after tax). It took quite awhile to make the reservations as the person helping us put us on hold and called Animal Kingdom Lodge to confirm we were guests and the number of nights we had stayed. We also gave them our credit card number at the time to hold the reservation.

I received (for waterview - which I did NOT request) at rate of $123 per night for POR for 3 nights in regular season......I want to call back and ask for standard because I think that will drop the price $15 plus tax a night but am afraid to mess up the reservation.

Oh well...anyone know what water view POR will get me!?

I had heard that you had to be currently in a room paying "rack rate". Is that correct??
Or if you are there before 2/14 using an AP rate, you can still get the "come-back"?????

They may only place the cards on the doors of people who are paying rack rate, but you can book it no matter the current rate you are paying. I never received a card, but had printed out the info from Mousesavers, and brought it with me. We were not paying anywhere close to rack rate for the room we were in when I made the come back reservation.

I agree with TNMomof3. We did not receive the card and I was currently using the AP rate at CBR.

vellamint - I would be interested in knowing if they let you modify the rate once you are home. I debated whether to book savanah or standard at AKL. I chose standard because of the rate - I haven't changed my mind yet but.....

Don't be afraid to call, I would. Just call CRO and tell them you have a reservation for a waterview that you would like to change to a standard view if at all possible. They will ask you for your confirmation number, and then just go from there. If the new rate they give you doesn't sound right (be sure and have it figured out before you call), mention you made it under the Come Back code offer. I really don't think you'll have a problem. I am really upset that I didn't know about this during our Dec. trip. We are planning another trip in Nov. 2003 and I would have booked it right then and there. I thought I would have to wait until the AP rates came out to get a price that would enable us to stay at the Polynesian again. I can't believe that no one told us about this especially since I mentioned to a CM that we would be back in Nov. and hoped we could afford to stay there again. I guess I'll just have to pray that the AP rates are good again this year.
