Combining with Beach Stay-Hotel Rec

We're thinking of combining a July trip with a few days on the West Coast of FL at whatever we can find to be the closest (to Orlando) Great Beach Resort. Looking for top shelf accommodations, a great pool and on the beach. Any recommendations?

Hi,

I understand the Don Cesar in St Pete Beach south of Tampa is pretty "top shelf".

Too pricy for me.

I don't have a link, but you could do a search on the tamppa area.
