If I wanted to book DCL and use some points/some cash how does that work?

As long as you pay for one adult in your room with points, you can pay for the rest in cash. You just call MS and they will tell you what the cash rate is.

We did this once and the price we were quoted was actually somewhat lower than the cash price per person given to us by DCL.

I have done this in the past when I was a bit short on points yet wanted to book a cruise.

DCL contacts with DVC for a special discounted price each year. It usually is not top dollar, but most likely not the lowest price you would ever find for DCL. But it affords the DVC member a nice way to use points and cash in combination.

Unless something has changed, you will have to pay the total cash amount at the time of making the reservation. Unlike the deposit paid when booking thru DCL, and the balance due 75 days from sailing.

Hi,
We paid with points and cash a couple of years ago. We paid for DW and myself with points and DD and DS with cash. You cannot pay half point and half cash for one person. Its either all point or cash per person.
