Combining Disney reward $$ and DVC discount for Annual Pass

Has anyone used disney reward dollars in conjunction with the DVC discount for annual passes? I've spoken to 3 DVC cast members, someone in ticketing and another in guest services and have gotten mixed answers. Some say you can use only 1 discount, others say you can use both but have to do it at guest services and the last person said you can use both but have to go through DVC.

That's how we buy our APs. I just buy online thru the DVC member site that already has the discount and they send a plastic voucher to me thru the mail (if I pay the $3 mail fee option). When you get to Disney, go to any guest services, show your voucher, DVC card and photo ID to get the actual pass.

When you pay for your AP online, there will be an option where you can say you want to pay with Disney Reward dollars, give your card number and how much to pull from that card. Be sure to have that amount of dollars transferred onto a non-expired Disney Rewards Card. If you don't have quite enough reward dollars, you can also finish the purchase with a credit card.

If you wait until you are at Disney, you can do all of the above at any Guest Services. We have done it at the Downtown Disney location.

I've also done exactly the same thing by calling MS. I ordered the AP's with the DVC discount and applied Reward dollars to the purchase. I didn't have enough Reward points to pay for all the AP's so I put the balance on my Disney Visa card and started a new pile of Reward dollars!

They sent the AP vouchers and it was no problem at all. Glad to hear the on-line option is fully functional...last time I tried on-line I couldn't combine Disney Rewards and a credit card for the balance.

The rewards dollars are a method of payment and not a discount.
