Just realised that the second day of our vacation is columbus day :sad1:

Would it be wise too avoid the parks on this day?
Are crowds alot higher than usual?

Also, if you advise skipping the parks on that day, what do you suggest what we do instead? it'll only be our second day there so we won't be ready for a completely lazy day by the pool.. will the malls be busy?

:confused3

Thanks x

We always go over Columbus day, I do not think the crowds are that bad.
This year I have booked a the KTTKT on columbus day after that we will take a break then do Hoop de Doo for dinner.

You could try DTD, mini golfing, a tour like KTTK, water park, or go to Epcot and go around the WS.

we went last Columbus Day weekend, and I'm going again this year. Just get to the parks early, and avoid Epcot Saturday night:crowded:

Why do you have to avoid Epcot Saturday night? Is that just for Columbus day weekend or all Saturdays?

A lot of locals go to the Food and Wine Festival on the weekends. We went Sat. night Columbus Day weekend to have dinner at Rose and Crown and watch Illuminations and it was scary crowded- and we've been to WDW April vacatiuon week as well as 4th of July, so we're used to crowds. We went back to Epcot Sunday morning at park opening and it was a lot less crowded :)
