Hey guys! I was wondering if anyone has had the lighthouse sandwich and could tell me a little more about the slaw thats on it - is it creamy? Or more of a vinaigrette dressing? I don't eat seafood so its one of the only things I can have on the menu and my friend really wants to eat there / I love the ambience there! Thanks

That's one of our favorite places to eat! I think my husband's had the slaw and it was creamy. Either way I'm sure you could ask for it on the side to be safe. Have fun!

If you don't eat seafood for allergy purposes, I'd be sure to let them know that. The CS kitchens are kind of an assembly line, so the table that moments ago had seafood could very easily have your sandwich on them the next. If it's a "I don't like the taste of seafood" I doubt you'd notice.....but if it's seafood allergy (which like peanuts can be lifethreatening for some), I'd be sure to ask.

Also, if you do a google/yahoo search for Columbia Harbour House Lighthouse sandwich, you'll get to see quite a few photos.

I've never had it, but from the pictures I have seen it looks creamy.

It's not creamy as in mayo based. The recipe can be found online but the slaw is broccoli slaw mixed with kens honey mustard dressing, then hummus and tomato are the other sandwich ingredients. I liked it!

If you are eating after 4 pm there is also a chicken pot pie that was a nice break from the usual.

The Lighthouse sandwich is out of this world yummy! I dream about it, seriously! I do. I do my best to copy and make it at home. The other person who said honey mustard is correct. I will be having it next Wednesday when we go to MK. Can't wait!

The cream in the slaw is very light. Had it several times. It is one of my fave sandwiches at CHH.

The lighthouse is a good sandwich, not too creamy of a slaw. Sometimes the bread will seem over toasted or dry to me. The hummus on it is plain but tasty. They also have a vegetarian chili on the menu which is good and non seafood salads you can order without the chicken too.

Yep - not too creamy. It is a really delicious and ample sized sandwich. DH and I typically share it for a lighter meal.
