Decided we don't have enough time for a sit down one night during our upcoming trip. We are going quick service at MK that night. We are already doing Peco Bills and Cosmic Rays for lunch Which is better Columbia or Pinocchio?

It really depends on what type of food you are in the mood for. CHH is seafood/chicken stuff and PH is Italian food. I will say that I am very excited that PH now has a grilled cheese on their kid's menu. It is delicious and a food that is difficult to find around WDW.

CHH has better/more seating. I LOVE the tuna sandwich, my kids get the fish and chips. PH has good pizza, I don't think I've tried anything else there.

like going the Pinocchio Haus, but they dropped the antipasto salad I liked. My kids still like the pizza there. Plus it was conveniently located when our kids were younger.

Columbia Harbor House is one of the better CS locations at WDW. It's my preference. The fish and shrimp are both good. They have added a salmon dish and a lobster roll since we last ate there. The initial reviews were good but I haven't looked into it recently.

CHH far and away the better of the 2, IMO. The upstairs area is pretty quiet and makes for a more peaceful meal to regroup.

As a side note, did you look into The Plaza at all at MK? It's a step up in food quality from a CS but doesn't take nearly as long as the other TS restaurants. It doesn't hurt the pockets too bad either and works for both lunch or dinner.

We all liked CHH it better than PH. They had an apple pie dessert thing that was awesome! It might have been seasonal, but it was one of the best things I ate on the trip.

I've never eaten at CHH but I am thinking of trying it the next time we go. We always used to eat at PH because we loved waving to the people leaving on It's A Small World, but that was when they used to serve burgers. The last time I was there, the Italian food was gross. The meatball sandwich made me sick.

PVS is typical Disney pre-made pizza (exact same as Pizza Planet). Its saving grace, IMO, is if you can sit by the windows and watch Small World come and go. Food-wise, CHH is far superior. The fish and shrimp are really good! They also have a healthy salmon dish with couscous, a tuna sandwich, and a vegetarian sandwich with hummus and broccoli. They also have a lobster roll! I haven't tried it, but it looks delish :)

I prefer the food at CHH (especially the tuna sandwich and the hummus sandwich) and the upstairs seating area is really nice. My DD would vote for PVH though because she loves to sit in the area that looks down on IASW so she can wave at the boats.

CHH is our new FAV CS place in WDW. Also highly recommend you might want to look at the Plaza as a TS option at CS prices.

CHH - we discovered it last trip and OMG that Lobster Roll! It was SO good. Fresh, delicious, very filling.

PH is - eh. Crowded, food is hit or miss.

Another vote for CHH. We're seafood-y people, so that might be influencing me somewhat, but the food has been very good there across multiple years/visits.

CHH for sure!!
I love their tuna sandwich, DH loves the chowder and I tried the lobster roll on our last visit and it was very good.
Good Luck

So glad I read this thread..................I just booked the Wishes Dessert Party and decided we could not do a sit down dinner the same night. After reading this it is CHH for us that evening and then lots and lots of sweets!!!

PVC, because it works great for our whole family. They have nuggets and pizza for the kids. DH and I had yummy salads (kids never finish their fries, so we try to offset our fry intake with salads!!)

CHH all the way! I used to read great reviews about PVH and the figaro fries which sounded SO delicious! However since those are no longer on the menu nothing at PVH intrests me. I tried out CHH last December and I never knew what I was missing. I got the fried shrimp basket (was on the Quick service DP) and got the shrimp, fries, hushpuppies (I think) and coleslaw. Also got my choice of desert which was the apple cobbler or whatever it was. Everything tasted freat and fresh. I couldn't believe that I hadn't eatten there before. And with the lovely view of my favorite place, the Haunted Mansion it made for a great meal. :wizard:
