Columbia Harbour House MAJOR Menu Changes

The Columbia Harbour House in Magic Kingdom has majorly changed it's menu since March of this year. A lot of sites still do not have this updated.

They no longer offer the half sandwich/soup on the menu. It's gone, not to return. This went away Easter weekend.

Chicken Strips are no longer served at any WDW restaurant, this was a company wide change. They now offer a chicken nugget meal with the option for 6 or 8 piece nuggets. This too is what you'll get at Columbia Harbour House. This change went into affect back in February.

And as of 2 weeks ago, the Starboard Deck sandwich and the galley salad are no longer on the menu, not to return. The salad was replaced with a salad called New Harvest Salad. But no sandwich replacement. They now only have two sandwich options which are hummus and tuna.

I have complained to City Hall, they directed me to email guest communications about these changes.

I eat at this restaurant once or twice a week. It didn't bother me about the chicken strips going to nuggets. I was living with not being able to get half a sandwich and soup, which is what I always ordered. But now they have taken away the sandwich I always get.

If anyone goes there and asks for the Starboard Deck sandwich, they will note that you asked for it. They said they were going to see how many ask for it, if they get a lot asking for it, it could come back. If not, it won't.

So if you like this sandwich and are there, ask for it.

Or better yet email disney's guest communications and complain.

Sorry I'm on my soapbox, but I'm upset with these changes at this restaurant. I watched a lady leave because they didn't have a sandwich she liked the other day.

I was already sad about the chicken strips! And now no more Starboard deck? This was our favorite counter service in all of WDW. Now they have taken away all that was best about the menu.

Taking the starboard deck away, was the last straw with me. I have complained at city hall and at the restaurant. And I have emailed WDW guest communications.

They say if they get enough complaints about the sandwich they will put it back on the menu. You can email WDW guest communications at wdw.guest.communications@disneyworld.com.

I hope enough people will complain about this. I had no options left the other day when I went there. I knew these things were coming, because the staff knows me when they see me there and most know my name. My friend that works there told me before all of these stupid changes occurred. She introduced me to her supervisor the other day and she said this is Scott he's a regular guest here. Then I complained to her about the sandwich and all my food options were being taken away.

BTW the nuggets are coming from the same company they were getting the strips from. The reason they changed from strips to nuggets was because the strips were all different sizes they claim, with the nuggets they are all the same size portions.

And the bread bowls for the soups have been gone for some time. The reason for those being taken away, I was told by one cast member it was because they did a survey and guests said it didn't matter if it was in a bread bowl or not. But another cast member told me it was because they were throwing too many bread bowls away at close.

Another thing, if you get a bag of potato chips with your meal and don't eat them, and don't even open them up. If you give them to a cast member, thinking your saving food, forget it. They just throw it in the trash. Because they can't resell something like that even if it wasn't opened.
