Columbia Harbour House - is it good?

that's good news, i wanted to try something new also. Can you get the clam chowder w/ a combo? i'm on the ddp, can i get it w/o paying OOP?
there are recent pics in the food porn thread and it looks yummy. i like the no calories at wdw, it's so true!

This is one of my favorite CS meals in WDW. The shrimp are crispy and sweet, the coleslaw is very fresh and the apple pie thingy is warm and heavenly.

I only wish we went there sooner...we missed out on it for too long! DH loves the chicken BLT salad and the veggie chili and I am a sucker for a tuna sandwich

Yep...looks familiar to me!!! My last meal at Disney in April...will be visiting CHH again in November!!!

I too was disappointed by Pecos. That was a regular for our dinners at MK, but no more. We ate CHH's tuna sandwiches last year for dinner and they were divine! Just loved them!

We LOVE CHH!!! I'm a huge fan of tuna sandwhiches but hardly ever eat them out. I got one the last time I was at CHH and it was to die for. It was better than my FILs tuna salad, which is saying alot. :)

YUM YUM! Enjoy!

I looooove Columbia Harbour House. The upstairs seating is wonderful when you're tired and need a break for a bit.

Another vote for CHH. Perfect CS menu for my less than adventurous DH (who thinks the chowder is AWESOME), great choices for the rest of us. Don't forget getting a table upstairs. It is a quiet oasis in the middle of the rest of the chaotic world.

My one caveat is that it doesn't seem like it's as good as it used to be(but what is?). With that, it remains the only CS place we eat at in all of WDW. The location is great, and for a CS even the atmosphere is right.:earsboy:

Most people seem to love it so I can never understand why it is never that crowded. We ate there twice last week and really enjoyed our meal. Sitting upstairs at this place is just so quiet and relaxing.

Love it!

We usually end up eating there twice a trip, once for the fried goodies and once for the sandwiches.

IMHO, it tastes like Mrs. Paul's fish sticks. Sorry.

I agree. The fried fish and chicken are just okay. French fries are the standard thick cut fare of all theme parks. If that's what you are considering eating, move on. If you'd like the sandwiches or chowder, give it a try.

It's just so-so for me since I don't like tuna sandwiches or chowder. The lighthouse sandwich is good, but not quite "enough" for me. We tend to eat a big meal at lunch at hummus/slaw just doesn't cut it. The salads are good, but aren't anything special...similar to what you can get at McDonald's or Wendy's.

My choice for CS in MK is usually Cosmic Ray's now. We just like the selection better there.

We ate at CHH on 8/14 for lunch and really enjoyed the Anchors Aweigh(sp?) sandwich and the fried shrimp plate. However, the kids choices of mac and cheese and chicken nuggets were the same typical fare that you get at other CS in MK.

The nice thing was though, no lines and there were plenty of tables upstairs. On a hot humid day in August, it was the perfect place to cool down for lunch and to have something that was a little bit healthier than burgers and fries.

Definitely a must if you're on that side of the park.
