Columbia Harbor House - huge disappointment

I think CHH tends to be popular among vegetarians in particular because of the Lighthouse Sandwich -- it's a refreshingly different option from the typical theme park fare, and it's actually really good!

In addition, as others have mentioned, it's more relaxing than most other MK quick service locations...and, in general, IMHO MK doesn't have great QS food.

I agree. The food isnt anything to rave about. Yet ppl seem obsessed with this place. I love the atmosphere, dont get me wrong. Its cool and has plenty of tables. I love their tuna sandwich. But thats about it. Not rave-worthy.

It doesn't really have outstanding reviews online. That it wasn't that great isn't terribly surprising to me.

But, in general, I think people go "over the top" anymore about most things they rate. Didn't use to be that way...but with more social media exposure, food porn pics, and the need to be dramatic on line about everything, I think that's what you get.

I was pleasantly surprised this past week with how much lobster was in the lobster roll. It was very good.

I do love CHH but less for the food lately as quality as definitely gone down on the usual faves. BUT between the theming and some great sitting spots it'll forever be a favorite.

We find ourselves there once a trip, not because it's particularly good but because we got tired of Mexican from Pecos' and just can't stand the lineups or crowds at Pinocchio's or Cosmic Rays.

No one said its fine dining, but I like it a lot as a quick service that's not offering the usual burger/chicken nuggets fast food faire. I can almost always safely enjoy some fried shrimp, and as others have said, the place is never "stupid full" and you can always find a nice place to sit upstairs and cool off.

CHH used to be good........ they have changed the menu several times and our last time was in 2018 when again the menu had changed which I think is the same this year so we skipped it.... While I have not had long john silvers in at least 17 years I would not say the quality is the same..... CHH is not great anymore but long john silvers was never good at least at CHH you know what kind of fish you are getting.......

I think you are forgetting the "nostalgia" factor. Disney makes memories, and some are stronger than others. I know that some of our memories have included meals at some of the most mundane restaurants, but in my mind those meals were fantastic. I imagine that kind of memory adds to the rave reviews some restaurants get here and elsewhere. WE tend to go back to POFQ just for beignets because this little resort houses some of our favorites vacation memories and those little puffs of Heaven bring them all back.

CHH is Amazing! It’s our favorite qs in Magic Kingdom- the food is always fresh and the Mac and cheese is AMAZING

the clam chowder is same that is served at LTT and is delish, the Chili is also very good! Sitting upstairs is also our tradition.

I like CHH, but you're not wrong with the Long John Silver's quality. I like it because it's not the typical burgers and fries, and for us it has something for everyone. It's not as crazy as other other CS spots which is a huge plus for me.
