I'm sure all Colts fans have heard Manning's plea to not let any Pats fans into the stadium for this Sunday's game.

It's become a complete joke here in New England, but I'm curious to hear what Colt fans have to say.

Personally, I'm very disappointed. I've always respected Peyton, but this is simply childish. Can he not win with Pats fans in the stands? Good lord Peyton - Grow up!

Weelllllll, he did say it with a smile on his face. I'm assuming he was slightly kidding?! Hope so since I really like him. That just seems so juvenile to me...so here's hoping it was said in a 'joking' manner.

Well, as a season ticket holder, this is something we battle in Indy everytime we hold a playoff game. Scalping is legal in Indy and season tickets get sold to brokers who then sell on Ebay. Whenever there is a big game, there are always tickets available, but it's not the true fans selling theirs. I was actually talking with the Colts organization yesterday voicing my concern over this and what can be done about it.

As far as if he can win with other fans in the stands:rolleyes: He has beat NE twice in Foxboro and I'm pretty sure there were Pats fans in those seats. Granted, it wasn't a playoff game, but a game nonetheless. We also managed to beat Baltimore on their field, so I don't think other fans really matter.

Of course, other fans are going to look at this and say negative things, but who cares. Unless you know the entire circumstance surrounding the comments, I wouldn't take the media perspective to decide if he should grow up.

I guess I don't understand that whole mentality. Isn't the whole point of sports competition? Shouldn't both teams have fans rooting for them? I like Manning (don't tell my husband- he hates him!) but I really don't understand that mindset.:confused3

Yep, I did hear something on our NE news last night about the season ticket holders 'selling' their tickets to the highest bidder so to speak. So what you say makes sense. For me it makes no difference...looking forward to a great game.

Nope - He's dead serious. In fact, the Colts are not allowing Pats fans to buy tickets online. Well, at least not in any New England zip codes.

I don't know - To me, is almost seems un-American to stop anyone from going to a football game.:confused3

That's awful. Anyone with the money ought to be allowed to buy tickets.

I don't condone scalping in any way shape or form, but that's not what the Colts are doing. They're only selling tickets at the stadium, not online or by phone.

Every team deals with scalping, legal or illegal. If Tom Brady said the same thing, I'd think he was wrong. I heard Peyton's comments on the radio this morning:

"Last week, we had too many Chiefs fans in the stands. We need all Colts fans out there this week."

Come on Peyton - You're better than that. If you CAN indeed beat the Pats in the playoffs, what should it matter who is in the stands?

I will be there! No way I'm selling my tickets.

Of course, competition is about both teams having fans rooting for them, but that's not the point. Home field advantage is supposed to be an advantage because you have all of your fans in the stands. Noise when the other team is on defense is a big deal. You want all of the fans creating noise and cheering. It may not make sense to some people, but that is the thought process behind it. We had Chiefs fans in the stands, but it didn't matter in the end.

San Diego and Chicago also blocked people from the opposing team from buying tickets.

Still, it was a bit of a complement to the Patriots. He said this BEFORE the Patriots-Chargers game.

And to be specific - he pleaded with fans not to sell their tickets not a plea to not allow folks into the stadium. As far as it went I don't see anything "UnAmerican" about what he said.

Hey it's a free country. There are a private organization and can do what they want.

It doesn't matter who is in the stands, Peyton will never win the big game.

There were only a few tickets available-like 1000-and they were sold at the stadium and on ticketmaster. The Colts have asked everyone to wear only blue on Sunday!

Go Colts!

Indiana folks....where are you from? I'm in Anderson.

I guess.

Myabe my issue is more with the Colts than Peyton. It just disappointed me so much to hear his comments on the radio this morning. It sounded so childish.

The sales on Ticketmaster were only made available to residents of the Indianapolis region.

If I were the Colts, I'd worry less about what color the fans in the stands are wearing and more about Tom Brady not speaking to the media Sunday night in favor of watching the Colts last 5 games.

FOXBORO, Massachusetts -- The New England Patriots Sunday agreed to a five-year, $100-million deal with the Prince of Darkness.

"Satan is an incredibly valuable member of the Patriots' family," said team owner Bob Kraft, "and we are delighted our fans will continue to enjoy his exploits while being delivered into his power."

The Patriots acquired the Great Deceiver as a free agent before the 2001 season, after last-minute negotiations and pleas for forgiveness from Baltimore Ravens owner Art Modell. Since then, the Devil has led the previously-inept New England franchise to three Super Bowl championships and five AFC East titles.

The team has not been without struggles, as players have left to sign with other teams or been sent into the bowels of hell. The Patriots this year have worked without football receiver Deion Branch, who signed with the Seattle Seahawks, and defensive tackle Ted Washington, now walking in a circle in a l ead jacket for all eternity.

However, Kraft said there have been three constants: Satan, coach Bill Belichick, and quarterback Tom Brady, previously an unemployed 48-year-old machinist from San Matteo, California.

"When Satan magically transformed this loser into the greatest quarterback in history, we knew he'd be worth every penny," Kraft said. "Only members of Satan's dark army know how pathetic Tommy was before that fateful night at the crossroads."

Belichick had signed with Satan the previous year, gaining a reputation as a genius coach in exchange for his soul and his fashion sense.

"It's really not so much that I'm brilliant," Belichick said after defeating the San Diego Chargers 24-21 Sunday. "Satan continually delivers our enemies unto us, praise be unto him. No sooner do they take the field than they're suddenly turning over the ball and having accidents."

"I mean, can you believe Brady threw an interception, only to have the Chargers fumble it and the Patriots recover?" Belichick added. "Come on, that's not skill. That's preparation and goat sacrifice."

The Patriots meet the Indianapolis Colts next week for a 34-20 victory that will feature two Brady touchdowns, 12 "accidental" Colts turnovers and the damnation of Red Sox fan Scott Brywood, 26, of Brookline.

Satan had expressed interest in signing Colts quarterback Peyton Manning, but Manning has already sold his soul to Mastercard.

The Dark Lord will remain with the Patriots through the 2011 season, at which point he will carry a screaming Kraft into a world of terror and darkness.

All players and coaches do things at different times that seem childish. In the end, it doesn't matter. I don't think anyone cares what I think about Belicheck.

Lafayette, here.

Why wouldn't Peyton want the stadium filled with Colts fans? Having your stadium filled with your own fans is a big part of the home field advantage.

As for the ticket sales, there were less than 1,000 tickets available (after season ticket holder sales) and they were only for sale at the stadium and Ticketmaster offices. Anybody could have bought those tickets, including people from New England. They just had to be at the stadium or a Central Indiana Ticketmaster office. The Colts nor Ticketmaster were requiring proof of residency.

This is absolutely true. We had a friend go to the dome for tickets and he wasn't required to show ID. They didn't offer them online because they knew they didn't have enough.
