Hi ladies, hope all of you had a great weekend. So this weekend DF and I got into the inevitable color debate. He wants blue which I'm totally fine with, however - I really don't want to have all-white flowers, and I don't really want to have any blue flowers either. A few months ago, I saw a great bouquet on here and fell in love with the idea of it. It has bright pink, light pink, and white roses. I'd really like to use this kind of bouquet, but don't know how it'd look with the blue. The flowers would be the only pink we'd use in the entire wedding/reception. So I started playing around with the Dress Your Wedding thing on Davids Bridal, and came up with this, then cut and pasted the picture of the bouquet I like. The girls would have the light pink and white roses, I'd have light pink, white, and the bright pink. I was thinking maybe DF would have a bright pink bout to match mine (I really don't know about the bright pink with the blue so close together..), and the guys would have white bouts. And to tie it all together, maybe the corsages for our mom's would be light pink. I know this isn't a perfect picture, but it gives you an idea.

(that's not the dress I'll be wearing, I just picked one at random so DF wouldn't see it)
What do you guys think? :confused3

I like it but then my DF sister had mint green and fushia and I thought it sounded weird but put together it looked great adn i think the blue looks just as good. Its very summery

I think that it will look very pretty. I have seen this done in several wedding pictures that I have seen on The Knot. One of my good friends is thinking about using pink flowers with her Tiffany blue BM dresses. She's going to use blue ribbon on all the bo-K's to tie it all together. Here's a pic that I saved for her....

i'm carrying yellow flowers, and my colors are light gold, cream and truffle, which is a dark brown. this is the only time yellow will appear at our ceremony, though it does show up in our reception decor.

On the wedding tv shows I've seen tiffany blue with red roses several times before. Not quite pink, but close

Thanks for the opinions girls! :thumbsup2 I'm really big on color so I want it to be great but I never thought it'd be so hard to choose! We're 98% sure we're doing our reception at LSS too, so that kind of narrows it down too I think. I'm worried it'll be TOO summery too, since our wedding is in December. I guess I have lots of time to figure it out, but it helps to have other brides tell me I'm not crazy.

caryn, I've been addicted to your PJ and you have so many wonderful ideas and I love the colors you've chosen! I'm really looking forward to seeing your pictures after the wedding, hoping that they'll give me some more inspiration! :)

you're so kind!!! don't worry, as soon as the wedding is over i'll post as many pics as i can!!!

I think your idea sounds very pretty. Whatever happens - remember it is your wedding and you can do whatever you like.

Have you thought about going with a more rich or deep color for contrast since it is a December wedding? Like Stucas mentioned you could use red - I saw those "Whose Wedding Is It Anyways" episodes and thought the tiffany blue with red theme was gorgeous. You could also try a wine, a plum or a deep rasberry...then you'd still have the contrast of colors (love that look), a beautiful color scheme, and keep it from being too pastel/springish/summerish.

But the pinks do look great. And since Disney is a "summer" place and your reception potentially being at LSS, you don't have to worry about it being December. Again, not that you have to worry - its your day and its all about what feels good to you. I'm just throwing in my 2 cents :upsidedow

I think the pink looks fine. A friend of mine had a blue weddingw ith pink touches and it looked great. Blue was bother her and her fiance's color but pink was her favorite color from when she was little. The family totally got the nod to pink and everyone else just thought it was a prettya ccent color! I think the blue & the pink work off each other to make verything pop so go for it!

color was a big deal for me too. i ended up with creams, peaches and orages and loved it. and was nothng i thought. but with the blue i found some ideas. i find it is good to think out of the box. i do like the blue and pink idea also. just thought you might like some pics

i know you did not want blue but this for some reason stands out to me and looks wintery and i think would look so nice and unique. and you could do yours with something else. i really like this one.

Thanks so much for all of your comments and suggestions, ladies! I definitely think I will end up changing it up, atleast a little bit. After hearing all of the suggestions, I've been rethinking everything so I'm sure this will be one of my toughest decisions in the beginning planning stages. I tend to obsess a little over things like this when it comes to the wedding..

All of those flowers are beautiful! I actually really like those blue flowers, all of the ones I'd looked at before just didn't do it for me. So many decisions! I love the way that you used all of that color in your wedding, but my house is really colorful (our bedroom is like a dark red and orage sponge style - I know it sounds weird, but we have a big wall with the mural of a sunset on the beach and it looks great; we have a green frog bathroom, a yellow rubber duckie bathroom, a turquoise tropical bathroom in the master bath, a blue wall in our kitchen, etc..) so I don't want it to seem like I'm just crazy and have to have tons of color everywhere

Again girls, thanks for all of your help! I'm sure I'll have a ton more to get feedback on in the coming months, it's so good to know I can count on you guys to help me out and give me loads of inspiration since you guys know just what I'm going through. I definitely appreciate it! :goodvibes
