DD's cheer competition is Sunday, and I am freaking out. She went to her school carnival last night. She got her hair sprayed pink, and it's not coming out!!! Right now, she's in the shower with her hair soaking in baking soda. If that doesn't work, what next??? Her cheer coach is freaking out as well.

I remember hearing something about Prell shampoo allegedly helping with color mishaps. I have no idea if it works or if Prell is even still sold, but if it is it might be worth trying.

I did this one year and had the same problem. I used dish detergent (Dawn) a couple of times and then did an intense conditioning. It worked.

Yes, hand dishwashing detergent works! Also use hot water (as hot as you can stand it)

Well, the baking soda definitely helped - it looks 80% better, there's just a few small streaks left. My hairdresser lives next door to me, so I called, and she gave me some Paul Mitchell Shampoo 3 to use. She told me to put it on her hair dry and then add more baking soda to it and let it sit for 15 minutes. Then rinse it, wash it again with the Shampoo 3 and then do a deep conditioner. So, off to try that.

If that doesn't work, we'll break out the Dawn and a bottle of wine for me!

Well, that did the trick!! Poor baby - her hair feels like a straw broom!! But at least it's blond and not pink anymore!
