Colorado river raft rides/grand canyon

I am looking at doing a smooth river 1 day river raft ride. Anyone do it? How is it? I would like to do something like that, but it is a lot of money. I don't mind spending the money if it is worth it. HELP!

My boss actually did the 7-day river raft ride with his family (he was around 55 yrs at the time). He said it was the best vacation he ever took, and encouraged me to go on that vacation.

If you have the chance, it would be a great opportunity.
