Colorado Cruisers

We ended up sitting at King Kong for 3 1/2 hours. That was the most dragged out movie I had ever seen.
In the last issue of Entertainment Weekly, with Kong on the cover, they actually listed the best times to slip out during the movie to use the bathroom - when things got mushy or gross, usually.

:rotfl: Ok, so the movie was gross during most of it with huge bugs and dinosaurs fighting. Should have read the article so I could have slipped out for the majority of it.

Oh come on, we had fun at the movie. If it wasn't so long it would have been okay, some parts were interesting. I never watched the original or the ones to follow but I never realized King Kong lived in Jurassic Park. And the bugs was just to much for me, I ended up getting the giggles and was shaking I was laughing so hard. I couldn't hold back, it was hilarious....too bad nobody else was laughing and my mom refused to look at me or else she would have laughed as loud as me.

I have now came to the conclusion that you are a bad influence on me. :teeth:
Listen Heidi. I am the adult in this relationship. YOU are the bad influence! :rotfl2: Well, ok, we are BOTH adults now but you sure can't tell it! :rotfl:

I wish I was out soaking up the sun, but it's more like stuck inside doing laundry for me :( Actually, that's okay since I want to get things done so I can sit on my butt and watch playoff games today.

We even turned on the sprinklers today to water :sunny:

Hey Guys! Sorry I haven't been around in awhile. We had our Eastern Magic cruise last month and then with Christmas and New Years it has been hectic!

Our cruise was GREAT!!!!!! The weather was perfect, okay so it was a little windy up on deck a couple of times, but Castaway Cay was absolute heaven! It sure beat the -13 we were having here when we left.

Only a few minor issues on the trip. DS got sick on Sunday night after dinner. I am not sure if it was the rocking of the ship or a virus. It only lasted until about 8am on Monday morning. We kept him out of the clubs Monday and kind of stayed away from everyone and he was fine. Then I had a little "incident" in St. Thomas where I walked off a pier and ended up in the harbor. :scared1: . That was a little scary. I have always said that I can swim well enough to save myself and now I know that is true. The only other issue was coming back from Orlando. We were supposed to leave at 7:50pm on Satuday night, but didn't end up leaving until about 1:30am Sunday morning. I was a zombie for about a week.

St. Martin we took the water taxi and headed over to Great Bay Beach for the day. That was a fun day! The kids loved playing on the beach. We had met up with Littleton Linda on the ship and ended up planted right next to them on the beach. Jacob and Jack had a blast!

St. Thomas we did the Doubloon Sail and Snorkle. Really fun!!!! It was great, up until the pier incident, but it wasn't their fault I wasn't watching where I was going.

Pirate night was great! We all dressed up and a group of Diser's had our picture taken in the Atrium. Never did see the picture that Shutters took, but a couple of diser's took pictures as well and I got a copy of one of those.

One diser, lillygator, had upgraded to a cat. 3 so she had a wine cheese meet in her room. It is really nice in those rooms ::yes:: . Wish I could stay there.

Castaway Cay was perfect. Sunny, around 80 degrees or so. Some people thought the water was a little cold, but it felt great to me. The only thing that I was disappointed in on Castaway cay was the Konk Cooler. They broke it. :worried: It was yellow and really weird tasting. Oh well..... I do have the recipe here.

We didn't rebook onboard. I am sad because there was a large group of diser's on this cruise that are also cruising same time next year. We can't afford to do it every year and I won't be taking the kids out of school again. The amount of homework was insane and they are only in 4th and 2nd grades :confused3

Here is a link to some of my pictures if anyone is interested. Hopefully it works.

Eastern Magic

Cristi - Great pictures!!! Thanks for sharing them with us. I'm glad you had a great trip, minus the "pier incident". How the heck did you get out? That would have freaked me out, unless I was close to the shore.

I'd actually like to see the Giants beat Carolina.

Cristi - welcome back!!! Your cruise sounded like a lot of fun, but please explain how you managed to fall off the pier???? I can just picture that in my mind....we need the whole entire story!!!!!! Thanks for sharing your pictures.

Okay... here is the pier incident story..... We had been on the Doubloon Sail and Snorkle in St. Thomas. We had just gotten off of their "pirate" ship and were walking on this small pier to get back to the area to get to the cruise ships. I was busy talking to our new friends from the excursion and I was looking to the left. I think what happened was a metal protusion of some sort came up in front of me and I stepped to avoid it and stepped to the right instead of the left. All I know is that I looked down and my foot was above the water and I thought" Oh, @#$% that's the water". Then I hit the water and thought, "I can't believe that I just fell off the pier. The kids are freaking out, get up quick". I came up quick and you should have seen everyone's faces. They threw me a float belt and I swam over to this other area where they could pull me out easier. I had a nice scrape (kind of like a rug burn) all along my left leg, a scraped knee and bruise on my left knee and I scraped something under water and had a nasty scrape on my right shin.

Now, noone I know will ever let me forget this incident. My new dis friends on the cruise are STILL giving me a hard time about it and none of them even saw it happen. They seem to think it has something to do with the banana benders I had been drinking and not just a lack of coordination. So, my lesson learned is never to walk and :chat: at the same time and I will be walking in the MIDDDLE of all piers from now on.

Oh my gosh Cristi. That sounds so embarrassing and scary. Glad you are okay. Sounds like you have some wounds to prove it!!! I always wondered what happened if someone fell off how they would get back on.

Cristi, I sure have been wondering where you have been! We miss you on the other thread too. WOW, fell off the pier. How scary is that? Do tell us more about the banana benders!! The Eastern Itinerary is my favorite. I love St Martin and St Thomas. Glad that we get to see St Thomas again on our 10 day Wonder in Sept.

JrsyBoy, go Giants is all you have to say?? You usually have a lot to say. Doing ok? lol

Teresa, I feel that all I do is laundry! I understand how you feel and there is only two of us now.

Wonder what happened to DCLCruiser? I sent him an email Christmas card but never heard back. That is unusual for him.

Sandy - For the most part it isn't too bad now since the girls put their own clothes away, it's more the "doing" it part I hate.

So much for those Giants winning :confused3 What happened there?? :confused3

Cristi - Thank God you didn't hit something on your way down or in the water and you were able to walk away with just a few scraps. We all have certain things our "friends" won't ever let us forget

Tera... Yeah, I was pretty fortunate. DH woke up in the middle of the night on the night it happened all stressed out about what could have happened, me hitting my head, it happening to one of the kids..... I think anytime I am around water now everyone is going to be watching me closely.
