Cristi, I sure have been wondering where you have been! We miss you on the other thread too. WOW, fell off the pier. How scary is that? Do tell us more about the banana benders!! The Eastern Itinerary is my favorite. I love St Martin and St Thomas. Glad that we get to see St Thomas again on our 10 day Wonder in Sept.

Teresa, I feel that all I do is laundry! I understand how you feel and there is only two of us now.

Wonder what happened to DCLCruiser? I sent him an email Christmas card but never heard back. That is unusual for him.

I will have to find the recipe for the banana blenders and post it on both threads. The funky monkeys would like it.....

We actually had a scare like this with DS at WDW before our cruise. We got off Big Thunder Mountain and as he stepped out of the vehicle, he had one foot on the platform but caught his other toe on the vehicle. He did a little hop to free his toe, but as he did, he lost his balance. As he started to fall over, he went to plant his freed foot, but it went between the ride vehicles and he started to fall into the opening between them! There were no CMs to see this and I have no doubt that had he fallen down there he would have been pretty hurt and no one would have realized he'd gone down there before they sent the vehicles back to the loading platform. I shudder every time I think about it.

Luckily, I was right next to him when this happened and when I saw where his foot was headed, I was able to grab him by the arm and yank him back up onto the platform. Even DW missed what had happened. The only other people to see it were the people exiting the vehicle behind ours.

For the rest of our trip, I kept reminding him of how I had saved his life.

Hey, all, I know it's probably been 6 months since I posted. I've been going crazy here, but I wanted to update. Also, I'm starting to panic because I'm not ready for our cruise, so you might be seeing more of me. LOL

I quit the Disney Store because of foot problems. I was in excruciating pain, but it was still one of the hardest decisions I've ever made.

Disney cancelled my cruise, but they kindly re-booked me on the cruise of their choice regardless of whether it fit my schedule, and charged me more for it. Fortunately, I have a wonderful travel agent and he got me a room upgrade and my original price. Yay! I'll have to travel a little bit earlier--9/3--but I have high hopes that this won't be a huge problem.

I'm slowly working my way through this thread, but my gosh! You guys have been busy! 50+ pages! LOL

What a great surprise to hear from you BlackUnicorn. I thought you abandoned us. What was the reason Disney gave you for cancelling your cruise? There is always so much controversary on this board about corporations booking and causing that. I personally don't think that is fair. I feel if they take my deposit then they are obligated to me. Are you cruising the Magic or the Wonder? Heidi and I are doing the 10 day cruise on the Wonder beginning Sept 7th so I was wondering if you are handing the Wonder over to us. Sorry about you having to leave the Disney Store!!! But, I for one understand foot pain! I have had surgery on both of my feet. Don't stay away so long this time.

Here is the banana bender recipe

Banana Bender/Painkiller

The base juice is 4 parts pineapple juice, 1 part orange juice and one part CoCo Lopez.

Now if you want a painkiller, mix with this juice a good dark rum. If you want a banana bender, then mix this juice with Cruzan banana rum.

Don't forget the fresh grated nutmeg on the top.

Now close your eyes, put some Buffett on the jukebox, sit back, relax and wish you were me!!

No, I just got hugely busy. But now I'm in a panic because I've only got 8 months to finish planning!
