Colorado Cruisers

We could definitely plan one another time too, we all seem to live pretty close to eachother!!!

I second that!

Teresa, we did the Western this past October. However we weren't able to stop at Grand Cayman because of the hurricane so we stopped at Costa Maya instead. You are sooo lucky that YOU can stop at Grand Cayman. I hear that is the highlight of that cruise.

 Hi Lisa, isn't this thread wonderful?

Hi Lisa and Welcome - Which cruise are you going on? We leave in 9 days!!!!!!

We'll definitely have to set up an "official" DIS meet sometime soon.

Sandy - We have the Capt Marvin excursion planned for Grand Cayman. Figure the girls will either love it or hate it. We'll have to see how it goes. I still read threads about how Grand Cayman is recovering. It'll probably be awhile before they are back to 100%

Teresa - I went to Grand Cayman 3 years ago on a DCL cruise, it was beautiful and by far my favorite port out of all the ports I have been to. I hope you will have a great time because I know I did. I was very sad that in Oct. we had to skip Grand Cayman because I really wanted my mom and dad to see it, but I do understand that it's no where close to when I saw it.

It didn't help that I hated Costa Maya because I was eaten alive there by bugs. I am not a huge Mexico fan because everytime I visit somewhere in Mexico I come back sick, in hives (due to being allergic to whatever they use to purify their water with), and/or eaten alive by bugs!!

Hi guys, I would love a DISmeet but have never organized one either. As much as this thread has taken off, I bet we could get up a pretty good sized one. Potluck at a park? Room at a restaurant?

Tera, Heidi (PoohFriend) and I really want to go to Del Taco on the 27th. We will try hard.

Blackunicorn, we have been in 5520 3 times. It is like home to us. Have you ever had it? We love it for its location and the porthole.

jiminyC_fan, we haven't cruised at all before, so this will be our first time EVER, and thanks to this wonderful board we knew to ask for a SPR! The only bad thing about booking so far in advance is that now we can't wait, and we've got 16 months to go!

We seem to be the only ones in the Springs, but if you have a DIS meet on a weekend, we can probably drop by.

Guess what....you aren't the only ones in the Springs. We know two others from the DISboard that we have daily contact with. They just happen to be in Oregon right now.

Sandy you're right, this board is terriffic!!!

As for Grand Cayman, my husband and I have been there on a couple of cruises and we also spent 10 days there once. It truly is awesome, and the best snorkling we've ever seen.

I would be SO up for a cruise meet here in CO!

Whoever started this thread is a genius!

Lisa.

Tera,
We're going on the September 17th cruise...it seems forever away...

Lisa.

Now hearing all the great things about Grand Cayman, I'm really looking forward to stopping there :sunny:

Thank you. Now can you tell my DW? :teeth:

I agree with Constanze but Jrsy Boy aren't you taking it to extremes? :rotfl2: Twist our arms and perhaps we will at least talk to your DW.

Heidi woke up to a severe migraine today but she is still talking about going to Del Taco tonight. Do we need to mention the schools name so that you can get credit?

I may have to post her email address and just have you send her anonymous emails stating that her DH is a genius.

Did he find a cure for cancer? :sad2:
Did he find an endlessly renewable energy source? :sad2:
Did he end the war in Iraq and create peaceful coexistence planetwide? :sad2:

No, he got a bunch of Coloradans together on the DIS boards. :rolleyes1

Sandy - Nope, just come in between 5:00-8:00pm and our school (Acres Green Elementary) gets 20% of the proceeds. My DD Katie and I will be there right at 5:00 because I don't know what parents volunteers I have. My DH & other DD will be there after 6:00 and then we'll be able to eat :goodvibes

I AM wearing my lime green shirt so you won't be able to miss me (along with my RED hair :earseek: ) Hope Heidi's head feels better. With this wind, I'm sure allergy sufferers are having a hard time

OMG, that is way too funny! I am wearing my lime green shirt and I have red hair. Ok, with streaks of gray but my red is natural. (so is the gray :rotfl: )

JrsyBoy, you did a good thing with your thread. It would be kind of funny to write your DW but I am afraid that she might get a little nervous with women writing her how wonderful her husband is! Now come up with an idea how to meet everyone. Are you coming tonight?

I can't make it there tonight, but I would definitely be up for a weekend meet sometime in the future. Is it okay that I don't have a lime green shirt and my hair color is (according to DS8) "bald."

We are back from Del Taco and really had a very enjoyable evening. We missed all of you that couldn't make it. We discussed that we would love to make a date and time to have a real DISmeet. Jrsy Boy's DW will hear about how wonderful he really is then. Yes Jrsyboy. Even though you aren't with the "in" crowd with red hair and a green shirt you are still welcome to meet with all of us. LOL.

Met Teresa(Tera), her husband and gorgeous girls. We had a nice long talk with DCLcruiser. I just can't tell everyone what a fun night we had.

Sandy - As you can tell, my hair wasn't "natural" :guilty:

It was really great meeting you (and your DH) Heidi and DCLcruiser too. I wish I could have sat with you guys more to hear all the great stories :guilty: I hope we can all get together again soon (May 25th is our next Del Taco Night ;) ) The more I talked to you guys, the more excited about our upcoming trip I became :cool1: :cool1:

I had so much fun last night....I forgot all about my migraine!!! It was very nice to meet DCLcruiser and Teresa and her family, now all we need to do is plan a weekend meet, so more people can come.

I am up for May 25th again, (4 days away from my birthday so that could be my birthday celebration....any takers?)

I might be able to go on the 25th, but I won't know til closer to time. A weekend meet would also be good, so more people could make it. Where is the Del Taco at? It seems like I saw one one day when I was going somewhere, but I can't remember where it was.

Heidi - You know I just realized that I didn't get to see your "year round tan" with that sweatshirt you had on :earboy2: We'll have to walk over to Krispy Kreme for a birthday donut after Del Taco. Or we could go over to Chuck E Cheese :rotfl:

Cristi - The Del Taco we were at is at County Line and Quebec, right next to Chuck E Cheese and Krispy Kreme :goodvibes

I think a weekend one is a good idea too since most people can't get to that location at that time. I say we hold out for some warmer weather though :sunny:
