Color of Braces?

I need help choosing a color for my braces. I was thinking green but now I'm having 2nd thoughts.

What made you pick the color of your braces?

I have glow-in-the-dark. They are blue XD

Well actually (for me anyways) it's the elastic that they wind around the brace that makes the color.
I HATE bright colored elastics. They make people look like they've got neon signs in their mouth.
Mine are silver right now. Very subtle. I might add a little color later.
This girl I know has like a freaking pink wire, it's nasty.

i hate bright colors on my braces so i have a very soft pink i also don't like it when people put all different colors or even two different colors it bugs me

I just pick a random color each month.

Don't worry about it too much, though. If you don't like the color(s) you chose, you can always change it in 8 weeks!

Mine are light blue right now.
But during football season, I do blue and gold for WVU.
And sometimes black and gold for the Steelers.

If I did that, I'd look too patriotic and that would not be good as it would not be my goal. I'd do it for the Bills though, of course. I'd sooner skin myself than do it for the Steelers!

8 weeks? I always thought you go in every 3 weeks. Thats what I am going to do and the rest of my family have always done. Guess it depends on your teeth???

Maybe it's by regional practice or something because anyone I've ever talked to with braces went every 8 weeks.

I go like every.. 8 ish weeks.
Most place it's supposed to be 6.
I wou ld hate getting my braces tightened every 3.
I might get a light yellow next time.

He doesn't tighten them every 3 weeks, he will just look at them and make sure there ok.

well are you getting just colored elastics? or is the actual metal going to be a different color?

i have green elastics right now, and i like them. they are not extremely bright, and they are my favorite color. they're perfect.

but you do know that every month you can get a different color elastic, right? so its not a major decision. if you dont like the color you get now you can just get a different one next time. that is if you are getting colored elastics and not the actual metal colored.

My Ortho says that color braces are harder to clean so we don't have colors. Mine just look like clear? I guess.

I'm pretty sure the elastics are there for a reason.

My ortho, also have flavored elastics (the ones that come in the baggy that you attach to the bottom and top).

I never needed braces, but my brother had them.

He got these see-through ones... I don't know how to explain them.
It's not like Invisalign or anything, they're normal braces, but the brackets or whatever were clear.

They're more expensive than colored braces, but I would do that. You seriously could barely see he had braces.
