Color of Braces?

I'm one of the people with the "nasty" colors on their braces Bright-ish pink and dark blue is what I have right now.But hey, why not add color to your mouth? IMO

well are you getting just colored elastics? or is the actual metal going to be a different color?

i have green elastics right now, and i like them. they are not extremely bright, and they are my favorite color. they're perfect.

but you do know that every month you can get a different color elastic, right? so its not a major decision. if you dont like the color you get now you can just get a different one next time. that is if you are getting colored elastics and not the actual metal colored.

i don't know, they didn't tell me, but hopefully they'll be elastics so i can change the colors.

I never needed braces, but my brother had them.

He got these see-through ones... I don't know how to explain them.
It's not like Invisalign or anything, they're normal braces, but the brackets or whatever were clear.

They're more expensive than colored braces, but I would do that. You seriously could barely see he had braces.

i know what your talking i have seen those but i don't want them not because there more expensive then the colored braces, its my teeth aren't perfectly white and with the clear on i don't want it to look like a stain.

Lol. That's what I used to do when I had braces.

This one girl I know (whom dislikes me for no reason?) got dark green for her soccer team's color...and it looked like she had brocolli stuck in her teeth. Nasty LOL.

It's not the actual braces that is colored.
It's an elastic that goes around it, and it has a purpose. It holds the bracket onto the arch wire.

Nah. They don't hurt really bad. The first 3 days is the worst. Then you get used to them. Just listen to what foods they say you can and can't eat. Then like the first tightning hurts probably the most. Then the ones after don't hurt that bad. But you just take Motrion or something for the pain.

But that's from my experiance how it hurts, but you get used to them.

I'm not tolerant, to even tiny pains.
The most pain you'll experience is about a week after getting them, and a few days after tightening. Also, your mouth may get cut from the braces (but that's what wax is for). I have a humongous cut at the back of my mouth, but the wax refuses to stay on that bracket.
It's not that painful. Right now the back of my teeht are hurting. I got my braces tightened a bit more than a week ago.

greeen is an okay color if its light green. dont ever get yellow tho. i got yellow my first month and it looked like i had plack ( did i spell that right ) problems. your teeth look really yellow. braces dont hurt that much. the worst is probably right after you get them and right after you get them tightened. good luck!! and dont worry as long as you eat what your supposed to you should be fine. :
