Colonoscopy prep..help!

I have had 2 colonoscopies.
My first one I was 19 and freaked out! I was put under general instead of sedation.
They gave me the pills and I had a really hard time getting them down because it took so much water. I called the hospital and the nurse recommended a clear carbonated drink like tonic water. All it took was one sip of that to get the pills down. Knowing that made the prep for my second colonoscopy so much easier.

The prep always makes me throw up so I know that is to be expected. I eat very light for the day before I start the prep and then only liquids on the day of the prep. Easier on my already damaged digestive system.

One time I used this little bottle of liquid that you added to 12 ounces of orange juice and that was it--worked great! The last time it was not go lightly anymore- it was half lightly that you mix with gatorade.

When I did it 6 years ago, I had a liquid that you could mix with clear soda. It wasn't thick or lemony... seems like it was salty? I wonder what it was? And I took small pills too, if I remember right.

I've had 2 colonoscopies. The first I had to use the Go-Lightly crap. What a nightmare! I gagged and threw up most of it.

Second time around I had a different gastroenterologist (we had moved) and he told me to use Fleet's PhosphoSoda. That was much, much easier to get down. Unfortunately, they don't use the Fleet's any more due to problems associated with renal failure in some people.

I need to have another one. I am not looking forward to the prep.
