I'm looking for any info on the hotels at CW. We were considering going "cheap" and staying at either the Woodlands Hotel & Suites or Governors Inn but I've read some negative things about them on other message boards.

Any help would be appreciated!

We stayed at the Four Points Sheraton and it was nice and worked well for us. We had a 2 br suite with a kitchen (stove and oven as well as fridge and micro and coffee pot - no toaster) and we were very happy. It's a very short walk.

We stayed at Governor's Inn and were not impressed. It was like a converted motel.. Woodlands are nice.

Woodlands was very nice isn't cheap! I think for about the same price you can generally get a nicer hotel further out... like Embassy Suites or something.

Stayed at Woodlands last year and the walk to Colonial Williamsburg is a long one. The visitor's center is adjacent to this hotel and buses took us from the Visitor's Center to the historical area.

Going cheap, you are better staying off site. Stayed at a Quality Inn and it was ok, but it was cheap. Ton of hotels on the main road to chose from. You can drive to the Visitors Center and ride the bus. Some hotels are closer to Busch Gardens and Water Country fwiw.
